Disclaimer first: this is not an advice but a story of the same scenario. Meron kaming kamag-anak that had the same situation. Dalawang anak under 18 nasa pinas but both parents nasa US. The parents in the US had to make a SPA naming one relative in the PH to act on their behalf para makakuha ng passport yung bata. Yung parents sa US gumawa ng 1.SPA (sa US) 2. Pina Notarize (sa US) 3. Pina Apostille sa (US state) nila. After all that pinadala yung Apostilled SPA sa pinas para magamit ng Uncle/auntie ng bata to act on the parents behalf sa Pinas.

If I understand correctly, gusto mong ipa-apostille yung SPA mo sa Pinas para gagamitin/ipadala mo sa USA? Hindi ko po kabisado ang proseso ng mag pa apostille sa Pinas at ipadala / gagamitin sa USA. Ang alam ko lang ay ang DFA ang nag-iissue ng apostille kung jan gawin sa Pinas. Note lang: itong video na ito ay apostille sa USA at gagamitin sa pinas.

Sa 2019 nag take effect yung apostille for Philippines. I remember because half of my condo contracts were done with “red ribbon” (PH consulate) and the later half with apostille. Regarding SPA, i’ve done 3 SPAs with apostille. You (in USA) will make the SPA, have it notarized, then finally have it apostilled. Then send it to Phil. In my state of MA, the SPA ( your cousin) would generally not need to sign the paper. Only your signature in front of notary is needed. Your cousin would need to show photo ID to prove that he/she is the attorney-in-fact stated in the SPA.

Oh my gosh takot na ako mag process nito because been there and done that in 2008 ang dami kung pinag daanan at pinuntahan just to have it consularized at malagyan ng red ribbon. @@CagayanIloiloandBeyond just a follow up question so after i write a letter appointing an SPA. i have to go directly to the Secretary of State and have them notarized the document? I will signed in there but i need to bring a witness?

@Queen_Nefertari this is to your follow up question - the sequence is very important. You need to go to a notary public in your state and have it notarized *before* you go to your Secretary of State. If your SPA is not notarized while submitting it to your Sec of State, they will reject it.

While it’s best to contact the CA Sec of State, in my opinion, yes you can have it apostilled. The only difference with a state issued / state certified documents (birth certificate, etc) is the omission of notarizing.

Dont do all that extra work just buy a bag with about the the same size as the tube. I would buy something smaller than the tube. Shave off small parts of the cardboard to make a tight fit so that bag doesnt fall off when the air blows into the bag. I did it and it works perfect the bag doesnt reduce the power of the vacuum works great

Dahil nasa Pilipinas ka nag PIRMA at nag NOTARIZE ng SPA, valid yan sa Pinas maski nasa ibang bansa ka na ngayon. 2. Dahil nasa abroad ka na ngayon? At kung hindi sagabal magpagawa ng another SPA gawa ka nalang ulit less sakit sa ulo. Ito steps kung nasa abroad ka na. 1. Mag type ka ng SPA / 2. pirmahan mo sa harap ng notary public / 3. Ipa apostille mo sa secretary of state / 4. padala sa pinas

Yes, but without the need to notarize it. (In Massachusetts) You would get a certified copy of Birth Certificate from the state Registrar of Vital Records and bring it directly to Sec. of State for Apostille stamp.

Ang trabaho lang ng Secretary of State (at least dito sa Massachusetts) ay maglagay ng stamp at i-validate young Notary public. Dapat pag punta mo sa Sec of State ay na notarize na ang SPA mo. Yung lang kailangan - yung SPA mong nanotarize and your payment.
