Well done video. What year? I worked the Northern and Southern Faires as a solo stage performer singing traditional scots ballads & English Folk songs 1970-73. This faire seems to have been somewhat professionally produced as they have costumes most likely rented from the costumers who provide rentals to the Opera. Anyway, beautiful video. Hello my friend, this i find interesting as I am Originally of this fair up until 2009 . I do miss it. I now live in Missouri and do character for St. Louis and Kansas City fairs. You can see video on my channel. Nice to see my original site.
to say it's original is kinda a stretch,but they did buy the rights to call it that. & Im happy its still a thing
Palamino Kitty I've had naysayers post on here about that. I suppose the true original RenFair happened in the 1600's LOL. But that is what the fair is called on their website and all of their paperwork. Evidently they were the first RenFair or close to it but they moved from their original location, which has confused people. At any rate, it is a great fair. I've tried others and this still has the most amazing people, shows, artists and vendors!
Adam Miller yes my parents met at the original original RPF, I am a life long faire Brat tho I haven't been on crew in a decade. I still enjoy visiting my extended family .I'm sure you've heard the old joke ..how many old school patrons & participants does it take to change a lightbulb?all of em , 1 to change the bulb & the rest to stand around & say how much they liked the old 1 better.

The Wenches and bird shows are the best! Those two shows come out to Sherwood and are loves by everyone!
Renaissance mimes? I've seen it all.
Not mimes, faries or woodland sprites. It just isn't the Original Renaissance Faire of old. While some of the original player are there, the newer players lack the experience and the mentors of old seem to be leaving us for the FAIRE in the SKY.
