I played in high school band with Art and Eric. I met Katie too. If I remember correctly, there was a special on TV of the Home Grown songs. Too bad those aren't available. I seem to recall that the scene for the video of this song was set by a river or stream.

Just hearing the first few notes still send me "Home".... I see the Waianae coast, feel the sea breeze. The way I speak is not the way to talk... I had to learn to speak Mainland "Yeah" ;-) but my heart is in the islands, always.

I remember being introduced and listening to *Chucky Boy* at Point Panic with my "older" friends from Papakolea...I'm speaking of the old Point Panic, when it wasn't really a park and the circus it is today....Great memories of weed, beer and empty barrels..!!!

I take it that you're referring to the album cover art. I couldn't find anything online so I dug up the albums. The artist listed on Home Grown I is Don L. Robinson. The artist listed on Home Grown II is Dwayne A. DeCorte.

You're correct as to the name of the song and the artist, but it isn't one of the songs on Home Grown I and II. Sorry. :-(

I searched for years without success and began to wonder if it was ever released on CD. If it was, people aren't letting go of them. I actually ended up finding a promo album on ebay. I can't remember exactly where the seller was located, but I do remember that it was some landlocked place on the mainland, which I found ironic. I've been posting the songs in their order on the album and was at number 3. Brown Man is the 6th cut but I went ahead and posted it for you. Enjoy!
