Captain America did go back in time and lived a full life uptil he got old and gave the shield to Sam.... He lived out his life with Agent Carter who was a part of shield wouldnt be suprised if he was working with them on the down low on some missions. So maybe they did fight and cap did lose kuz in the 80s he would be around 60s something biologically but with the super soldier serum.

You forget that while Steve was frozen, Isaiah Bradley took up the mantle of Captain America. Maybe he's the Cap being talked about.

The only way it was Steve I think is if when he returned the stones and then when he went to live his life with Peggy cap would have been so so much older by 1984 and red guardian would have been in his prime and not fat and older but young and strong

it's possible that he stopped holding back right there. the strength on marvel's super soldiers and similarly enhanced characters isn't human. peak human is a myth when they can bench 1000. they are probably capable of curling over 250... in 1 arm.

@@LilC1deep Exactly, in MCU the serum enhance you beyond peak human to the point you are no longer human. Think about what Captain American has done, he once flipped a motorcycle over his head, prevented a helicopter from taking off without having his arm torn off. In Bucky and the falcon tv series you can see the effects of the serum when it is given to an ordinary crew and it enhances their strength to point there are pick up bikes or prevent a truck from going into the river.. Peak human only applies in the comic but in the MCU they increase his strength significantly.
