    This is something I have experienced myself and believe me,it's really worth trying. Whenever you're out in your Garden, ALWAYS be totally barefoot because our soles love and deserve that freedom. They love to feel various textures of soil between their toes. Apart from n it's very healthy to be barefoot outside. Take for example two plants, one grown inside a pot and tge other grown in Nature. However much you water and use fertilizer, it never looks as healthy as the latter. This is simply because the roots have a limited space to stread and the Nurishment too is the same. The soles of our feet are like the roots of a tree.When you're not barefoot that natural process is obstructed. Our soles are designs to absorb things which are essential to lead a healthy lifestyle. However, use of footwear deprives this process. Apaurt from that there are a large number of Sensors / Nerve endings on the soles of our feet, which connects from head to toe. When we walk on Sand, Gravel and Tiny Stones /Pebbles,our entire body gets stimulated through these sensors. Once again Footwear deprives this natural process. So, go barefoot always for good health and happy feet and soles

  • @Bruiser38
    @Bruiser38 2 месяца назад

    A complete soil food web would build aggregate improving water absorption, creat an environment that favours later succession plants like our gardens and crops, reduce if not eliminate pests, and provide nutrient cycling giving better yields and better flavour and nutrition. Once we start influencing the soil environment at a microscopic scale the changes we see are massive. See Dr. Elaine for the true depth of this rabbit hole.

    A note about BTK. The mixing directions on the package is for a deterrent. it doesn't kill caterpillars. If you have an infestation, you'll have to make a double concentration.

    • @TheScientistsGarden
      @TheScientistsGarden 2 месяца назад

      Thanks for the tip! I didn’t end up using the BTK this summer as the infestation was pretty severe and the caterpillars had already started burrowing inside of my Brussels sprouts. I’ve made the mistake once of biting into a worm-filled Brussels sprout and it’s a mistake that I won’t make again 😅

    I just placed an order and am so excited to try these! Apparently they are only selling them until tomorrow for this year, so I found out about them just in time before the cut-off date. I love purple tomatoes and also have some other natural varieties that I plan on tryin also such as Paul Robeson and Black Sea Man. It will be interesting to compare them. Hope the germination rate is good on these because they only put 10 seeds in a package and sell one pack per customer. I'm going to be treating these like gold since they're still relatively rare.

      I bought some seeds. All the seeds I planted germinated, and so far the seedlings seem very vigorous. I am keeping an open mind about them. The fact that they are GMO doesn't scare me, as the inserted genes are from an edible flower, assuming we are being told the whole truth about them. I will save seeds if I feel they have a place in my garden. My top level criteria are flavor, relative ease of growing, reasonable disease resistance. Time will tell.
