My name is Cheo, a Clinical Lab Scientist who loves fitness.
On this channel, I'll share my fitness journey with you. From participating in marathons to competing at Hyrox races, we'll do it all!
One of my favorite quotes that keeps me going:
After the day ends, look yourself in the mirror and ask yourself, “Did I get 1% better today”, if the answer is no, then you’re gonna have to work harder tomorrow. Put in 100% effort every day, then you’ll see improvement. - Kobe Bryant

HYROX Preparation, Episode 1 | The 'fundamental' Workout
#highintensity #hybridathlete #hyrox #strengthtraining #speedland
In this video, I'll be doing an interval training session on a hill and share with you how I set a personal record in New York at a Hyrox event and finished my first full marathon with only 8 weeks of training for long-distance running.
Incorporating hill intervals in your training program is the 'fundamental' workout for getting stronger and faster.
If you want a copy of the workout program I built click the link below to get in touch 👇🏼

“Hold on dad lemme set the camera up real quick”
You live in redlands bro i recognize the gym 😂
@@nicdrew101 🤣
I pushed my dad around in a wheelchair too and it did not require sled training in the gym. Being able to lift him into and out of the chair was much more useful.
@@dinosaursnack yes. Thats why I do it. To get him in and out of the chair and bed and restroom and to give him a stroll around the marketplace. Sled pushing does wonders for leg strength
Keep up the great work and content 💪👍
You’re a noble man💯 never forget why you started💪 your ancestors are proud
*“I know you’re tired and wanna go home dad but just wait I gotta put the camera in the isle and push you past it to seem cool online”*
Dumbbass you're doing it for hyrox. Your dad is on wheels.

Respect
Except your dads on wheels so no strength required
Hope he gets better

Cool
You made a huge mistake with that protein shake. Drink the protein shake after the race instead of before. It doesn't give you energy, it repairs your muscles.
@@runl6117 hmm. How is that a huge mistake?
Financially too. You must accept that you are weak and it's going to be painful knowing that you're weak trying to get out of it. The mindset must switch and it's going to be painful to recognize that your mindset is the problem
@@eddieyutub yes. I agree. At the end of the day it’s the mindset that we ought to change, and that, is the hardest part for many to understand and accept
Yeah starting was definitely the hardest
@@vineqar333 it is man! As long as you keep going. It getting harder
Stop filming yourself changing
Great idea 🫡
No entendí las instrucciones y el pelirrojo empezó a chillar cuando lo metí en el agua hirviendo

Nice time bro, feel like people don’t understand how crazy that time is. I also hit it in nyc yesterday took me like 30 more mins than you. Either way sick event with a dope atmosphere
Good stuff bro!!! Keep it up! Yea. I don’t think a lot of people understand that time matters with this race, if you care about time , which I do. But regardless, it’s a tough one. Good time bro! Will you do it again?
How far did you run
10.5 miles
Can you do a video on what other career paths CLS can take besides working in clinical lab? You mentioned analyst and field engineer?
enroll yourself in a philippine based review center, they are really helpful

Nothing high intensity in this video...
More of an information based video so that people who may not know can start somewhere, and if they did know, they can start again
Having a proper diet is #1, as well as eating in a deficit.
Couldn’t agree more, one thing tho, that some individuals have a hard time understanding that #1 concept, so it’s easier to spoon feed them with other useful tools

Awesome
Can you describe how you feel when you reach your goal after completing the trail.
It was an amazing experience!! Standing at 11k ft up on the mountain and coming back down made me feel unstoppable! It gave me more energy and excitement to try something different
