@AJRacing1 marshals were on point. Stopped the race under red flags and were quickly on scene with fire extinguishers. Respect to those guys out in all weather running these events.

It was indeed, one of the finest throwaway suits they had. 🤣 He go itt when the local Teamsport were throwing away there old petrol suits for Electric ones. So now he is always repping the OG branding. 🤣 Santa may get him a new one for Christmas.

I think the red guy had the apex but he should have left room as yeah he was along side enough. Though he technically shouldn’t have made the dive, Red shouldn’t have cut him off.

@@AJRacing1 unfortunately I didn’t get any luck that weekend or if I did it all ran out in qualifying, I got kart 3 which is basically Ayrton Senna in the wet but lance stroll in the dry and in qualifying I was on for a pole lap in heavyweights as my pace when it was raining was absolutely amazing p4 overall in practice but unfortunately kart 3 decided to pull a lance stroll and loose all form of driving capability’s so unfortunately I was dead last at the start but managed to climb back up to 4th I would’ve gotten p3 if the person in p3 actually knew what yellow flags were and wasn’t speeding under them so a really unfortunate day for me but it’s ok as I gained a lot of points on first place in the championship so I’m like >26 points away from him or something

@Lm.Karting41 sounds like a great race! You did really well in though conditions! They were tough to drive in.

Could be worse, I pitted to switch my god awful kart, but they decided not to count that has my pitstop and I had to do 3 pitstops! I retired from the race (rage quit 🤣)

@lateapex1126 why would they not count that as a pit stop is weird. Shame you had karts problems was going to be a good battle between you, me and Matt at one point!

@@S55AUL not sure about the ballast as I can’t remember and not going to say if they have or not. But we did see him drinking water as we got out the karts before we got weighed. 🤷 Also what happed at your regional with drinking water isn’t right or fair. My point being that last year he would have been a middleweight. The changes to the rules this year, has hinder the slightly heavier drivers. I am coming in at 90kg with all my gear on and less than a tenth slower on equal karts. But his weight makes the difference in the key area on track.

@@AJRacing1 How have the marshals not seen that, that’s shocking. He’s 100% not getting away with that at nationals after how strict they were last year. And no, I agree that it’s made it unfair on the heavier drivers. They only did it to bump up the numbers in the weight class as it had basically no one last year compared to the other ones. Good performance at regionals though mate. 🙏🏼

At our regional we had to roll up the legs on our race suits, and unzip and lower the top half of our race suit to show we had no ballast. The lightweights have looked a little low on numbers this year….maybe they’ll move them back? Or go somewhere in the middle like 88kg

@@lateapex1126 they mention that in the briefing but never really enforced it. They should have stuck with last years weight rules and maybe allowed more people from regionals to progress

I wore no ballast I really dislike these accusations I was 86kg through the whole day.

They should have done but didn’t for some reason. Sorry to hear you fell ill during the event mate. Hopefully you’re alright now? For sure the penalty was a soft one. The weight change for this year is stupid, there was no clear reason to move it and not put in a super heavy for people around 100kg. We will be back at notts soon mate! Your speed is good mate, just need more members session to prefect your karting skill 👍🏻
