I heard this as a criticism a lot, but personally I like it. Most shows use darkness so rarely that you can't really tell if it's even supposed to be dark or not. Sometimes a show makes a point about how a character is hiding in the dark and then they show them and it's bright asf and it takes me out so hard like wtf bro that ain't darkness.

Mech anime has always been very niche. But if the storytelling can be good and have mass-appeal this can be a pivotal point in the road for the Gundam franchise!

@@ThePlusUltraPerspective Idk if you watched in dub or sub before, but in my opinion Ban Taito's performance is in the top 20 of all the 500 anime i completed. Aleks Le had also extremely good voiceacting in scenes where Jin Woo gets angry, but it really feels more angry(annoyed) instead of ice cold threat like Ban Taito (which fits better i think if you know how he gets rid of his emotions bit by bit.). And i also think it would get you more views, not only because it releases earlier. But: Do what you are comfortable with.

Really for me this dub is one of the best I've ever heard Alex le does a fantastic job as both versions of Jin woo and the emotional scenes are truly where it shines the best for me
