More like how pawn attack. It means they have the same relation as cats and tigers.
The queen back then was better make the men strong working men the strongest we 90% of the army is men

Hikaru would've resigned the minute he calculated those moves.
Unfortunalety the position is incorrect because white has 8 pawns and 2 black square bishops
1:04 the eval bar: oh wait you're right
such a crazy and unbelievable game. good job to humanity.
Boaring
*boring
sounds like skill issue :)
If perfect chess is boaring to you, maybe chess isn't your thing. nothing wrong with that
Great chess video great job🎉
Thank you!

Cool vid
Underpromoting to a bishop isn't that impressive. Literally a week ago I had a game where if I promoted to a queen or rook it would be stalemate, so I had to promote to a knight or a bishop, and I chose a knight because it was check. However Stockfish said promoting to a bishop is better white king on e7 white pawn on f7 white pawn on g5 white pawn on h6 black king on h7 black pawn on g6

its so funny how stockfish had a realization a few seconds after 1:00
finally, mate in omega
very interesting video, well done!
Bro, nice recap, but the video is all choppy.
Our coach made us solve this puzzle.
Noiceeee34e❤❤❤
Can't wait to get this position against an opponent someday 😆
Thanks for watching this chess game from the 2011 London Chess Classic. The game moves are in the description. Like the video, and subscribe for more 🎉
nice video man, try to fix the fps problems tho!!
Thank you, I'm working on it 👍
I enjoyed both puzzles. Thanks. I didn't find the mate-in-three, but one of the many mates-in-four you mentioned: 1.Qg8 hxg5 2.Rxh3+ Kxh3 3.Nf4+ Kh4 (or gxf4) 4.Qh8#. Also, I put this on Stockfish at lichess, and it saw the mate-in-three immediately. Maybe it depends on what version of Stockfish you are using.
I would have loved a link in the description to try to solve the puzzle on a website without having to copy from the screen. (I say solve but more like, try to play with it against stockfish ^^ )

Liked and subscribed, now waiting for more XD
Hikaru is the only person who could solve this with no problem
Stockfish see this immediately!
Why does it have to be Qh1? It looks like the same result several ways as long as you keep the queen on that long diagonal
If black plays hxg5 after white moves anywhere on the long diagonal, you would be right that there is a mate in three. But, if black takes on g5 with their king after our queen moves, the only checkmate in three is with the queen on h1. This is because after Qh1, Kxg5, we play Ng2. Black is forced to take our knight because their king can't move. Now we play the move h4 checkmate, which is only checkmate because we placed the queen on h1 to protect the pawn from being taken. Otherwise, the king could simply take on h4, and no mate in three.

nice video
we all knew the Elephant, but I didn't know about an advisor (until now)
oh! I saw this on Chesskid channel very nice puzzle with unbelievable construction.
very nice video I'm quite surprised the mate in 3 tripped up stockfish, but i was really hard to see Qh1
Its already given in thumbnail

*aggressively stares at the celling* "oh my god guys i missed mate in 290 im so bad at chess" -Hikaru
Let's do the procedure
ain't no way in hell chess has 2bishop of the same square ..
Promote to a bishop
@@MelloRoadToMaster White has 8 pawns
@@akitteninabowl8872 I see. Oh well. I mean you can do anything with a physical chessboard and pieces, lol.
doesn't this break the rule about a minimum capture per 50 moves?
Pushing a pawn resets the 50 move rule, so this puzzle doesn't break that rule.
@@chariotchessoh, i see, because it is irreversible, same as capture
Nice mate but it is impossible to achieve because white has 8 pawns and two dark squared bishops.
true
OK, but it's a *_puzzle_*
@@FreezeChessYT an impossible one. Ones that can’t be possible are just…not right.
That was unexpectedly entertaining
"pause the video here to solve it for yourself" 😊
That was awesome lol
It's impossible for a game goes 300 moves🤷♂️ find me a game goes 300 long!
the one in the video
it can happen
You are correct that in an official over the board game, no game has reached 300+ moves. Online, there are many games surpassing 300+ moves with the theoretical limit for how long a chess game can be in the thousands of moves.
You are the best
HOW THE HELL this banger has only 50 views???? people are all blind fr
