I think they executed it very poorly, I get it they were trying to set up the next episode but Like rushing or killing off Killowattrel and Hounstone that fast, it felt like The writers also has the same problem as Roy 😂. Roy rushed terastilazing and Writers rushed this battle

With the way the battle played out, made sense Roy was already on the path to lose VS Ryme. Roy get stuck in his ways w/out being able to see things beyond or a few steps ahead before it's too late. Which was how Ryme & Toxtricity beat all Roy & Fuecoco tried to do. Even Kilowattrel's loss as Roy repeated the same move instead of looking & thinking another option. Roy thinks too linear & gets caught in his own way which makes it easy for foes to turn the tables on him

Definitely agree that like in sinnoh, kalos story for ash was well done but still had some flaws and I think could be changeable in a way it could have been some more right, totally agree with the retelling of goodras story in your version compared to the original, some people even decided not to include goodras in their own rewrite versions of ash’s team thinking that it’s hard, both goodra and Greninja getting released was emotional and unwanted by fans which I agree, I would’ve love to seen ash win the Kalos League over Alain which I actually liked Alains character in the anime, him appearing earlier in the series aside to the mega evolution special would make sense, yeah I think the kalos league was rush mainly for ash’s off screen battles, and even though I love noivern especially the dynamic he’s had with hawlucha, totally understandable why you replaced him with a fossil due to type overlaps I do like ash kalos team, but at the same time it almost looks like someone else’s team like if ash were just a dragon & flying type trainer instead ls what he is today.

Definitely understandable why these changes were made, Cutting ash’s canon unova team in half is just right and it was handled badly like in the original series, replacing snivy and oshawatt with levanny, and palpatoad work not only because those Pokémon evolved but also the great thing about both levanny and palpatoad is that they have type coverage a grass and bug type and a water and ground type would be useful for a Pokémon team! I agree with keeping krookidile and pignite even though I would kinda prefer evolving it into embore, save goes with palpatoad into siesmictoad, I don’t mind unfezant on the team at all especially that it’s hated by alot of fans but I’m not one of them, I did give it credit for not only defeating skyla, but for helping ash catch snivy in the original, and yes cutting ash’s unova team in half is a good way to help unfezant get some more time to develop on the show, the bird may be frail but to spite being a female works too, I also don’t mind the changes to the companions or the rivals either, I liked iris but the only problem I had with her is when she kept calling ash a little kid especially dying some unnecessary moments, she was a hypocrite for that, cilan was cool in my opinion, some say he was kinda like a 4kids version of Brock! And the twin duo replacing them is another interesting touch for a rewrite, yeah trip wasn’t handled all that well compared to past jerk rivals like Paul, & Gary, trip was just a dumb rehash of Paul, and which Paul did make more sense, even cross from the 20th move functioned better than trip, I even thought it was racist for trip to talk badly about other regions like kanto! Even thought I love Stephan, Virgil, & Cameron, it’s totally okay to remove them from the rewrite, and I like the inclusion of cherin and huge N would be interesting too in my book, and I definitely agree the gun battle with Elisa was kinda lazy and it was just another original series thing, speaking of witch, I understand they were trying to make it feel like a fresh series just by reverting ash like how he was in kanto but it just doesn’t work in this regard ash being at the same level as he was in sinnoh would be perfect for unova, the battle with Cameron in canon wasn’t what everyone wanted just for ash to lose sure the writers thought people would say it be predictable for ash to win over Cameron but still no one else cared at all, I wouldn’t mind ash making it to the top 4 again like he did in sinnoh, and would have a chance to battle Virgil by then too. But this is still good and even though it’s not exactly how iv would rewrite the series I just like to take my own spins on things but this still works great, I’ll save more details for once I watch the full rewrites version of this unova rewrite. 😊✌️

The battle was good in my opinion. Honestly made sense of what I'd expect Tinkatink was gonna end up with regarding her. It's a bit odd though considering Dot's tactful mind that she didn't use Low Kick move More against Larry's Normal types (although it was used once on Staraptor; but too bad it wasn't in Normal Tera time). And I'm so Glad the show kept from the Games to the Anime Ep, Larry's Signature Move: FACADE!!!!! So signature it shattered Dot's Tera & KO'd instantly!!!

what happend with larvitar he should had stayed with ash his realease was forced since larvitar was attached to ash and it wasnt his mom who took care of it would be better if ash kept him since profesor elm would be ok with this since larvitar likes ash which is logical ash was like larvitar s dad since he was raised and took care of him then since larvitar came out so late he could stay with ash for the jounrey in hoenn or setting the event earlier this was what i hated in the johto servers the writers by force didnt let him get the most gen 2 pokemon besides of the starters

I really like that you had Ash return bulbasaur to Oak’s lab instead of heracross, it made absolutely no sense as to why they made Ash catch a heracross and then just give it back to Professor Oak almost immediately and have bulbasaur go through an entire second region. Heracross had so much potential to be Ash’s Johto ace

Oh THANK GOODNESS you didn't remove Phanpy, and instead gave it more development. Phanpy is my favorite of Ash's Johto mons (probably because it's just my favorite Johto Mon)

Brock should catch Larvitar, it also annoyed me that Ash never caught it in the actual anime and I think it would be cool for it to stick around.

This is actually really good, I love some of the changes such as some of ash’s other Pokémon getting more work such as torterra who Is one of ash’s most controversial Pokémon of all time, he had potential and I’m glad you were able to give him some wins and do what the writters couldn’t, I actually thought it was really cool that ash has a fully evolved torterra like his rival Paul, especially that Paul was a big jerk to ash and ash coming to chimchars defense for being treated poorly by Paul, also defenitly understandable why you cut gible from the cast he was introduced late in the anime, sure I think he should have evolved into at least gabite during the battle againts conway and he would have handled Draco meteor a lot better then in his prevolve form, also it as a Brock fan you definitely made you point on why you thought he didn’t need to happen in the sinnoh saga just for doing mostly the same stuff, Lucas to me may sound like a generic pick as a companion since he’s a avatar in the games but I love the development idea for his character in this rewrite of yours which makes him a lot more interesting, and yeah I have to agree with dawns ambipom being released it felt like another primeape case (not a good look for ash’s monkeys 😢) and Zoey was cool too, not much to change for her or Paul, besides that, Barry being introduce late in the series wasn’t the best idea I definitely think they could have Easley introduced Barry in the tag team tournament arc at least, I really hated that ash got paired with Paul and Paul mostly made ash just stand there leaving Paul doing all the work instead, and I felt like that was unfair to ash and they could have giving them different partners or not have Paul get involved at all in those episode, but it’ll defeat the purpose of ash catching chimchar, besides that this is a great way to fix ash’s journey in sinnoh, the original version was good by it still had its flaws and they can be fixed it’s not that hard at all.

Amazing video and editing, love the idea of Johto Pokemon having more focus including my beloved Phanpy.

I really enjoyed this re-write! Not only does it make sure Team Rocket does not have a long overstay like last time, but we also get to see more development from the Johto team. Though, if there was still a need for a problem-of-the-day, I guess Cassidy and Butch could have done it, but I wouldn't have wanted to see them in every episode. Looking forward to your next rewrite!
