All parts are about the same. I’m using a blunt weapon so hitting the head is the most damage and stun for hunting horn and the hammer

@@huntermiller2947 I think it’s just as good as world. I’m really enjoying it so far. I’m sure if they do some optimization of the graphics and framerate it’ll be amazing. Hammer, hunting horn, charge blade and SnS are extremely fun.

@@Bunuffin …well the resolution here is low, so the image quality is rough, but the vertex density, lighting and particle effects are all way past World. pick up World and play, then go back to this beta; the two are not close and World is not ahead in any metric, at all, besides frame performance (again because Wilds is doing a hell of a lot more)

Glad you enjoyed man. I’m really surprised how much I love horn in this game. Been a hammer main in world and rise for the most part but I learned how to play every weapon back then and enjoying trying the changes in this game now

@@drejohnson850it’s honestly not that hard. Have you ever used it before or are you a new player to the series? Once you get it figured out it’s not hard to remember the melodies and stuff.

@@drejohnson850 it's an easy to learn hard to master type like the Lance. In world it only has 6 basic moves that you can access at any time that doesnt require any move to come before it. It has no combo moves unlike the rest of the weapons with the exception of the hilt stab and the echo wave attack from Ice borne. It has no defensive capabilities like a guard or a special dodge but it's one of the fastest moving weapons in the game (the fastest overall with Ice bornes Speed boost bubble) the main way you deal damage to a monster is by sticking to it like the Lance does except you move and dodge around the monster because all of its moves cancel into dodge very quickly

@@drejohnson850 look up The Artful Maestro from Monster Hunter PH for an explanation to the "Battle Dance." Its a core play style that any weapon can use but the hunting horn can use it the best because it has no combos and all of its attacks have a very long arc that can be used to even snipe specific body parts of a monster

you have to use meter to do that. one example of a simple combo with that is 2 1 4 down up ( with meter) 2 1 4 ( down up with meter ) 2 1 4 (down up with meter) do it back to back quick enough and it should all land as one complete combo

Oh I understand. That's only available in the displacer variant. You do ex fly and hit block again after the first hit. It costs 2 bars but it's also one of his brutalities

Just do back-forward 3 in the air. It's pretty simple. Just have to do it off of a forward jump

I would say the best would prob be f2,1, 1+3 As well as f4,1 into whatever special you want to use. I would suggest his df2 meterburn slash for follow up combo possibility. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching

Cody Garner Ok, but the problem is that reptile loses a good overhead to throw in between a combo, as in MK9. For this purpose, the hop slash is slow and/or makes reptile jump over the opponent and miss him

Yeah I agree. Now for me with to way MKX holds inputs I'll be doing f4,1,3 slash as a block string and it'll make the 3 into that hop and it'll hop over them and make me unsafe. So stupid. I'll have a new breakdown/tutorial video coming up tonight for Subzero. He's a great character in this game
