In this video, let's check out a small IKEA-branded CFL from 2008. This CFL takes the shape of an A15 incandescent bulb and has a candelabra base, designed to be used in some lamps and ceiling fans from around 15 years ago with candelabra sockets instead of medium ones. It consumes seven watts and is the brightness equivalent of a 25-watt incandescent, at 260 lumens. This CFL was actually made by Megaman, a German lighting manufacturer known in the lighting community for making some of the longest-lasting CFLs ever available. IKEA contracted this company to produce CFLs for them in the 2000s, but they had switched to Chinese manufacturers by the early 2010s.
