Happy Iowa Farmer
Добавлен 27 июл 2016
I am a family farmer in Southern Iowa where my family and I grow corn and soybeans and raise cattle. I love having the wonderful opportunity to live and work in the great outdoors every day, and it is my honor to grow your grains and beef!
A wonderful harvest
Here is a video of the combine and auger wagon working together in a field, "unloading on-the-go". I enjoy seeing the corn going out of the combine, into the auger wagon and continue flowing into the bin on the combine while traveling down the row. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Stepped back into the "Steel Cathedral" for a quick song while unloading corn. Sorry for the dark video, had to keep the door closed to limit sound from the grain dryers, tractor and truck. Hope you enjoy!

While waiting for the auger wagon in the combine, I decided to take some time to record another song. I didn't spill any corn though (at least not right then!)

After waking up to a beautiful frosty morning in Central Iowa, I had to step back into the steel cathedral to record "America the Beautiful".

I stepped back into what has been dubbed "The Steel Cathedral", our 48' wide grain bin, to record one of my favorite songs while I was unloading a semi truck of corn today. There is a fair amount of background noise on the video ranging from corn filling a nearby bin to dryer fans running and even my cell phone ringing at the tail end, but I hope you enjoy it!
I've got the windrow turnin' blues

While turning windrows of grassy hay before a rainstorm later that evening, I felt compelled to sing about the situation that found me on an open station tractor in the hot sun. Sure does beat an office job, though!

At the request of some friends, I tried recording a video inside a grain bin. I had an extra minute today after fixing tile holes this morning before the beans were ready to combine, so I gave it a try. The acoustics are amazing inside this bin! It is a 48' diameter by 35' sidewall bin.

I am proud to be a farmer in Iowa and the wonderful United States of America. It is my honor to grow the corn and soybeans that make your food and fuel, and to raise the beef that ends up on your grill!
It's beginning to look a lot like Springtime!

Brilliant, beautiful voice sends shivers down my spine
WOW!!! One of the best! Beautifully sung❤️
Good morning. I'm hoping you'll respond to this comment when you read the content. I live in Florida (St. Pete) but belong to a conservative site in the United Kingdom (the UK). One of the web site writers does a feature each Wednesday in which she examines the background stories to the hymns we all know and love so much. Along with the back story, she includes a sampling of the many different ways in which each hymn is performed by different people in different places. For her feature on It Is Well With My Soul, she included this video of you singing in the silo. This morning, she has done a piece on the increasing loss of the love of hymns and she mentioned that she had tried to contact you through the Iowa Farming Authority but never heard back from them. It would please me beyond delight if I were able to connect you with this lovely woman in England and the two of you could have a chat. In this day and age where we fear contact with strangers, let me just assure you she is a deeply Christian woman, married, has a background in newspaper editing (before 'fake news' - she is of 'a certain age', lol.) I'm hoping to hear from you soon.
Thank you for contacting me! I would love to read the articles that your friend has written, I have studied the background of this song also and the strength and faith of Horatio Spafford is truly inspiring. Please let me know how I can find your friend's website as well as how I can contact them!

@@happyiowafarmer2190 Hi this is Margaret Ashworth. You have a wonderful talent and I would love to get in contact. Can you email me at info@conservativewoman.co.uk ? As my friend Audre mentioned, I tried to locate you through the Iowa Farming Authority but they never replied. Hope to hear from you!
Sent here by Margaret Ashworth of 'The Conservative Woman,' (a British website) who published an article this morning about 'It Is Well With My Soul,' and recommended your rendition as her "favourite". You can read her article, which gives some interesting history about the hymn, here: - www.conservativewoman.co.uk/the-midweek-hymn-it-is-well-with-my-soul/
Is that economical? Next year, a 20 row cutter goes into production, what are the trucks on the field looking for? They belong on the street, in the field they only compress the soil, more plowing is required. I do not think they have a "dog walk". If the collector does not have a scanner to recognize the contours of the truck, the driver of the collector has to do everything with feeling and inspection, which costs time and money. In Germany, the farmers are still ahead with electronic and digital field processing. Just a few examples, the future of agriculture will be highly technological. Thanks for the video and greetings from Ger.
Zimmor what is a collector? Grain cart? 20 row head on 30 inch spacing is rediculous
How many ton into the John Deere?
The rest product is good for my stove.
That’s quite the auger on the cart. We have an older one and seem to have to hug the truck closer. Nice rig
This is awesome, I actually just finished our Harvest video too! You should check it out! Great job, btw. :)
Awesome!!!
Beautiful, Cress!!! Looking forward to more of your "singing in the steel cathedral" concerts!
Beautiful! The acoustics are amazing! Praising God in the everyday part of your life, love it!
Your mom would be so proud of you Cress! I'm sure she's beaming this morning! Thanks for sharing!
