He's got a flow
In today’s liberal world, we can all identify as anything. 😂
Peeps actually promoting this will hurt his career if he plans on taking it further. Its a sad phase NHH is in now cause of all this non-knowing journalist.💔 The crazy part he doesn't even believe what his saying. He yapping doe.
We were all there at some point. The kid still got time to grow.
Dope video
Buddy is mad delusional.. liked your take on it though you broke it down quite well.. if anything bro knows how to market himself ill give him that 👏👏

Need you on podcasts bro.
@@malcolmmunyaza I wouldn't mind,I mean never mind doing interviews.
WAHHN was in an ICU for a while, but it died with the founder.
Sadly
Haven't missed an episode
Appreciate it fam
Let's Keep the dialog
We on it.
I watched this interview the same day it dropped, disected it and left to gather my thoughts before adding a comment so here goes nothing...I honestly don't think our problem is finding a distinctive namibian hip hop sound cause we already have one,the fact that we have so many different cultures & languages in country gives a huge advantage on creating our own original sound,From the likes of Nga-I Bobby Wvdk Phatboy Lutor Mega M.I.G & a few "Kwaito cats". All these artists have proven over the years that they can spit hard in their vernacular tongue but to be honest really what's missing here is the unity in rap that the rappers from the golden generation had and I know this might be a contradicting statement to my first point but only reason why NamHipHop was taking off in 2008-2010/2011/13 is cause rappers formed what you'd call a super group which had different factions within but would still feed off each other's energy. Niqqas would drop songs, projects, visuals, make shows and they made sure they all involved one another in their different events,Imagine we had groups like the 061 and Black Market who were major but involved many rappers in their stuff and also showed love when individuals who weren't from their camp put out work. Perfect example is when I look at the clique song by the 061,Imagine seeing Slammer in that video he wasn't part of the group officially but that's how they represented for each other man showing love everytime or how The Big Catts in the game at the time kept giving the upcoming artists features o they tracks from the likes of J Black,Qudio,Mc Ray etc getting recognized through that process...CATCH MY DRIFT! Now back to the sound...and this is my personal opinion so please don't bite me. I don't honestly think rapping in vernac will improve the state of hip hop in the country,I mean we can always incorporate it by means of sampling and rapping here & there in your mother tongue but internationally it won't work, might work for Nam but the music won't be able to have a lasting impact beyond the borders, why I say that?? The biggest commercial hip hop tracks in the country to date is all English...D Jay's Listen To Your Heart,Kk's We Go Hard and Catty Catts Let's Play Kanibal's Coner Kp illest Okay Okay (Not even sure if that'ship-hop but he was rappingatleast),these guys were all spittin in English with the only difference being they were using local references to make it relatable to the Namibian audience. Just look at the biggest rap artist on the continent that have made it made big out of Africa, what language they spittin' ?? 🤔 That vernac shiii is overrated just like amapiano music it's just a trend for the moment but when the smoke clears and everything is calm where they gon run too, people don't know what they want till you give it them.
You took thought to comment on this and I genuinely appreciate that. You’re right in so many ways here and considered angles we didn’t and you’re right, certain things would get lost under the radar if it ever really comes down to just actual spitting. That sense of doing anything together as a unit has cost us more than we are willing to agree.
@@northsiderabbi 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 Thank you that you see it that way...still more I would like to say but not enough time. Maybe one day we'll have a sit down and straighten out a few issues regarding #NamHipHop but nevertheless ya'll keep doing what you doing, might not see it right now but the Hip Hop community appreciate every little thing ya'll do to push the culture 💯 Thank You.
I saw the Competition and when i saw the Crate of beer I was like NAHHH,
That was ridiculous.
Not dead but def on life support. No original sounds, almost everything is trap or drill, with the only emotions to pull from being lust or hate. It is sad really.
True
I would say rappers aren't exploited enough, because if they were the art and entertainment industry would be heavily invested in. The music industry or let me say the hip-hop industry is not profitable in Namibia, I mean there are some but the exception does not make the rule. Regardless the Tafel Lager competition was a great platform for rappers to showcase their talents and get their brand out there. Great video guys🔥🔥
I totally get you, I think it’s so divisive as a corporate to really lower the value of an industry this way.
Your opinion should be tamed before it spread. Nothing dope about this platform
The custodians of the genre are not working together mane......great content keep em comin
#BeerBars Also, rapping about crayons will be offensive to the alphabet community. Great session gents, think the audio was a bit soft at some points.
😂😂😂😂😂
All im finna say is that hiphop is gradually losin' its primacy in market shares and to top it all of, is that our NHH supporters are really assistin' wit dat doe. Hiphop is surely alive, jus evolutionisin'. However my abstract will be: With the popularization and proliferation of the subgenre Mumble Rap, many individuals within the culture and industry of Hip-Hop say that the genre is dying. They argue that artists no longer use their platform to create lyrical based messages and now are more focused with commercial success, copying this new wave of sound that has become popular. While these arguments have validity, they neglect the various artists on the cutting edge of the genre who are creating new music and subgenres through fusion with other popular categories of music. Additionally, there are modern artists that try to revive and expound on the work of past generations of rap still to do this day. Rap is not dead but it is undergoing a process of transition; where this will take the genre is still to be seen, however at this time every facet and iteration of Hip-Hop has a place to flourish within the overall industry.
It could be over saturation and audience fatigue.
I think Jericho can bring good songs with his upcoming release, however he cannot make a come back imo. The sound has really moved on and he’s been quiet for too long which is gonna be his comeback down fall.
Its gone be a challenge for him.
Solid question thou. Haven’t heard anything from locally Hip Hop at least this entire year.
Than my guy ya havent been lookin it up cos its surely is there n its plenty too. Go from "IV ROI, RNB NAMIBIA, ABDULTHEARTIST, TIEN G." to name a few.
@@_iigentmusic_official are these guys accessible on online platforms such as Deezer, Apple Music, Donlu etc? The common music lover, do they know these guys? How easy is it to come across their music?
@@maxlodewyk_na they are very much accessable my guy..... They are on every DSP and yeah they have their own audiences n all you got to do is plug a friend who is in their lane of music and all will make NHH great again.🙏
@@_iigentmusic_officialiv roi and his crew are carrying the game rn,they have international sound..they just need more marketing
Great stuff guys 👏🏿💯 Keep it 🆙
We will!
I believe that Hip-Hop will come back, sooner or later, just hibernating. People just need a message to unite them. The rest will take care of itself
Facts.
Hip Hop is only resting and recalculating
