@@lhvinny We are all born with natural disinterest and unbelief in God and then we hate him for not using his power to do what we want and for allowing bad things to happen. But for many, once they are exposed to the Gospel then God changes their hearts so that they find his beauty and love irresistible. I'm telling others about Jesus, hoping that he does for them what he did for me. He alone died to set us free and rose from the dead so that when he returns those who died trusting in him will be raised by him to live in bliss with him forever!

@@lhvinny Your refusal to trust and worship God is hatred toward him because you're living off of all he gives and not honoring him with your life and responding to his love. You deny or oppose bis existence because you don't want him, and to not want the person who is love and who all true love comes from is hateful. I'm not critizing but trying to be compassionate because God has to change our natural heart conditions for any us to be irresistibly drawn to him. You can't make yourself care about God and believe him and I didn't either. We all depend on God to make us want him and he does it for some when they hear or read about Jesus, so I'm telling others about him hoping that God convinces them. I lovingly advise you to keep your attention on him and pray for him to help you so you can have hope and love like what I and many others have now and after we die and leave this terrible place and bodily conditions.

@phieble I don't trust someone who they are best friends with the easter bunny. That does not mean I hate them. Your black and white thinking is a hindrance. At no point have I said I don't want a god. You are lying. "You can't make yourself care about God." Sounds like not my problem then. I am sorry that your life sucks so much that you call this existence terrible.

@@lhvinny If this present life is all there is and most people will never experience lasting happiness without any pain, fear, and suffering, and even if they could it wouldn't matter because when they die it's all over and they get punished forever, then all our living is for nothing. Contemplating that is embittering. Even if there was no afterlife, only living for about 100 years with the possibility to enjoy experiences put up against the certainty of suffering for half or most of our lives and then we die and cease to exist would be a depressing, soul-crushing reality. We cannot choose to have never existed and we all desire to live forever with only increasing, endless happiness and nothing negative, and Jesus is the only one who can satisfy forever and take away all bad things.

@phieble If this life is all there is, there is no punished forever. Your first sentence contradicts itself. Some do view this life as depressing. Others realize that life does not need to fit that scheme. "We all desire to live forever" False. Not everyone desires to live forever.

@@lhvinny If you were offered to either live forever with ever-increasing pleasure and never amything negative or cease to exist forever, which is not a choice, then you would choose the first option. People only want to die because they feel like they suffering here is insurmountable and things won't or can't get better. If we were all shown a place with perfect conditions that never gets boring we would all want to be there. If you deny this then there's no reason for you to keep living now because life on earth is not worth enduring if there's not something better.

@phieble here you go, pretending to know the minds of others. It is a very unfavorable trait. No, I would not choose to exist forever. Eternal existence is the worst form of torture I can imagine. If something or some place is already perfect, it cannot be made better by change, which means it will become boring. The fact that this life is finite is exactly what makes it worth living. Sometimes it is better. Sometimes it is not. This idea that the end of things is all that matters is a mistake many death cults make.

@@lhvinny Heaven is not a place that ever gets boring because Jesus, the object of admiration and enjoyment forever, is infinite so we will never get to the end of knowing and enjoying him. You've never been exposed to the person and place of perfection and never ending enjoyment I'm talking about, so you can't say for sure that you would reject them and you certainly cannot affirm that you would choose Hell instead, which is your only option. This earth and our lives are not going to last forever, so we need hope beyond it. I would consider a better hope if you could present it and give me some grounds for accepting it. I'm not claiming to know your mind, I'm claiming that God does and he has revealed our sinful human nature in the Bible. I'm a sinner who deserves Hell like everyone else, and the way that the Bible disects my mind and heart is part of what makes it compelling.

Who isn't sorrowful and angry about evil all over the place, declining health and inevitable death, and the fact that no good experiences, possessions, achievements, and beloved people are enough to satisfy? Life on earth sucks and when its over there's an eternal judgment and afterlife which leaves us hopeless. God offers us hope within himself, however people reject him because they misunderstand him, they blame him for the world's and their own issues, they think they are wiser than him, or they're not interested in him, yet they can't logically and historically explain away his existence and power or find hope outside of him. That's the purpose of this, and while I can't convince anyone, I pray that God will use this to get people thinking and then eventually change their hearts to embrace his love and wisdom. There's nothing else to live for and die peacefully with than the hope of eternity with God.

There were over 500 ppl who saw Jesus alive after he was crucified and that's more witness testimonies than many historical facts that we believe just because we were told that they happened. Paul also performed miracles to prove that he spoke from God, so we have no reason to call Paul a liar. I just want for you and others to experience love and endless happiness instead of living in vain and perishing forever. Do you have a better hope and satisfaction that lasts forever other than Jesus?

@phieble We have no way of verifying what Paul saw. The only source for the claim about there being 500 people is Paul, and he is not claiming that he saw it either. The source is still "because Paul said so." You are putting a lot of stock into what one man said. We do not have 500 testimonies. We have one man claiming 500 people saw something. We do not have 500 testimonies of individuals saying they saw something. I have zero reason to think Paul performed miracles. I did not call Paul a liar. I called him mistaken, just as I can call the tens of thousands of people who claim to have been abducted by aliens are mistaken. People are mistaken all the time. I have plenty of reason to think Paul was too. I have no requirement to replace your fantasy with an alternative.
