She is not trans, even if she is intended to be and here is why - corporations try to pander to us by giving us clues and hints at characters being queer in their stories but at the same time pander to bigots by never saying the "bad words" out loud. There are things you can hide in the background that would unquestionably make her trans. You can have the HRT pills on her desk, have a gaff hanging on the drying rack, have something trans-related opened on her PC, her old photos as a boy in the living room. Her being trans not being relevant to the story is not an excuse - if you don't want to say it, you can still show it without being ambiguous. If we accept she is trans because the creators are giving us some non-conclusive hints, then we send the message to the creators that it's okay to treat us, trans people, as something that needs to be hidden behind clues. And I don't accept that. I don't accept that a studio trying to show itself as progressive is hiding my identity behind a "definite maybe" because I'm too controversial to be shown in a plain sight.

Everything Ben said was right and I agree a lot with Shapiro on politics and stuff, but I don’t agree with his view that it wasn’t enjoyable or funny. I thought it was hilarious because it was so stupid and ridiculous. It was not what I was expecting but this is unironically the most pro male film I’ve ever seen. Also, Ken did nothing wrong and Ken was right.

The film was good. Sure is it flawed? Yes but that doesn't make it bad or invoke a strong emotion such as "hate" i swear people are absolutely overreacting and it's childish

I was the same. I liked it up until I didn't. It's 2/3 or 3/4 of a good movie. It's just that terrible last act full of weird decisions and dead-eyed Polar Express CGI people.

I really like this theory that she is trans! It could be a cool look into the universe she is from, and I think it builds upon the themes we have seen already in her story.

In my opinion it does matter whether or not she is trans because it is different to any other differing interpretations of cannon due to the fact the it is fairly clear she is trans or was intended to be transgender and the lack of trans representation in the media makes it important to acknowledge that she is trans, and prevent any erasure whether it be malicious or just a slight misinterpretation.
