Against my better judgement I'm including the Dark Ages of the KA seasons. Here is 2016-17. Amusing to try to give this the NFL Films treatment where you take something really bad and attempt to make it look 'good.' Proceed with caution.

what a swing !!
My favorite player until Griffey arrived what an attitude and sweet swing. Griffey = best swing ever Clark = 2nd Best swing AND BEST swing ending (bat drop) of all time.
4:33 What a feeling it must have been to catch that home run ball! Giving him a standing ovation for his first at-bat at Busch in a Cardinal uniform, then on his first pitch he hits the ball over the outfield fence right to you!
He's been my favorite player since 87 and I don't think he gets enough respect for what he's done he may not been a home run hitter but he played the game right and was always good in the clutch
Great video! I remember him and Kevin Mitchell in 89 - scary times for an Astros fan
Wow...I was actually looking for some of the videos with him as a Cardinal......thank u so much. Made my day....I'm gonna state the obvious that he was a beast during that stretch....I think he also had a lot of hard hit outs. Plus he had great hands at first , was still pretty quick but u could tell he was struggling with his knee at times. By the same time one year later and he was done.
@@jeffreymanestar5319 glad you found it!!
11:40 that bat flip is underrated. Lotta stank on that flip.
GOAT Mid season pickup
Roger Wehrli was a blanket db, one of the best ever.
Willie McGee had a terrific postseason in 1982.
Whitey Herzog once said Jack Clark could turn on a bullet!
I hated the Cardinals after he fought Oquendo and Ozzie, but was happy he finished in the NL and he looked good in that uni
Boy, they were fun to watch.
Best cardinals team in franchise history. These guys were perfect and played a unique and exciting style
love that swing. dont think there was ever any doubt when he hit one out.
Great player.. 5 tools..
Let's not show non-Cardinal home runs, please.
A young Joe Buck?? Who knew??
I sure wish he had been healthy his whole career. Hail State
I enjoyed going through your channel. Hoping you keep putting up good material.
I love Cesar Cedeno! The most graceful player and best CF ever. Thanks for posting.
Missouri is so pathetic they rush the field after beating shitty Kansas
Not many athletes go out when they are on top or have a good season. Will is a rare one.
RIP Mr J.V Cain
I Love the Tom Lawless 3 run HR in Game 4 of the 1987 World Series..
He was the Cardinals version of Mark McGwire
Man, baseball used to be so much better. The games, the stars, the trades, everything about it has gone downhill fast in the last decade or so
I was at this game. This is the game that kicked off my lifelong love for Mizzou. I was 8 years old and didn't know what was happening....but it felt like we won the superbowl. My dad took me on the field and it was the most exhilarating experience of my life. I still have the astro turf pieces I picked up on the field that day.
AMAZING!
Can't wait for the Ray Lankford videos
Ray HRs? That could be added to my to-do list
This is gonna be a random request, but I'm a Brewers fan who caught Rafael Furcal's leadoff homer on Sept. 1 in my hat (at ~1:10:23 of this video; the ball is still in my living room, hahah). I've been looking for this broadcast footage and now that I've found a little clip of it, I'm wondering if you have more of the original broadcast. I'm pretty sure they put me on camera again as Furcal was going around the bases. I think I was doing a little fist pump and looking like I was celebrating a Cardinals home run in my Brewers jersey, but I was just celebrating catching a home run ball on the fly...hahah
I will definitely see what I have!
If you click this link: ruclips.net/video/VIhIAfz-UFA/видео.html - the full HR video is at the 11:26 mark
@@dn35243524 Awesome, thanks!
We need a St Louis Cardinal's Carlos Beltran video......
Someday. It’s a good idea
I used to practice his batting stance in the mirror with a whiffle ball bat for hours as a 12 year old
Boy we didnt like him for yrs cause he was a Giant. But when he came over, we instantly forgot all that and fell in love. Then he left just as quick. Was one of the best ball players for almost 2 decades. Glad he wore the birds on the bat
Great job with these videos could you do the 1987 cardinals like you did 85 team.
Actually have that. Just need to upload
@dn35243524 that would be awesome thanks!!
I keep looking for a clip with Vin Scully calling a Cedeno home run in the NLCS in LA. Was hoping it was here. Even so, great compilation that’s fun to watch. I had forgotten how much he just murdered the ball after he came over from Cincinnati.
Hi. Cedeno actually didn’t hit a HR in those playoffs. Just an fyi. 👍🏻
@@dn35243524 That must be why it’s so hard to find. 😂
@@dn35243524 I must be thinking of another game then, because I vividly remember him at the plate, and Vin Scully is recapping his previous at bats. Just as he is mentioning him having hit a single to left earlier in the game, he blasts one toward the stands in left and Scully calmly says, “and there it goes…” If that rings any bells, please let me know. May have been in a game of the week or something. I always remembered it as in the NLCS because Scully was calling the game, but clearly that’s not the case.
I’m pretty confident that is the one v the Cubs the day they clinched the NL East. In fact, I think that was the only Cedeno StL HR called by Scully. It’s at the 13:50 mark
@@dn35243524That’s probably what I’m thinking of. May have gotten the “there it goes” from another player’s at bat (Jack Clark?) and combined the two in my mind. It’s fun getting old. Thanks for helping me unscramble my memory. 😁👍
Big fan of Jack the Ripper..
Appreciate you doing this. Although this was easily the most difficult year of my life… it was cool to relive some of it! I wish so badly I could’ve helped win games at Mizzou… I truly loved the university! Theres no place like Como (and Shakespeares)
You’re welcome!! Loved watching your career progress. I can’t imagine the behind the scenes of that season but it’s probably best left there. You were electric to watch.
I loved Whitey Ball! The most exciting baseball ever!
Whitey ball was a few years away. lol.
Die hard Cub fan here.....I could watch videos of Clark at-bats all day
Clark like Hank Aaron was a neutral wrist hitter.
I still haven't forgiven the Giants for letting him get away
Albert the greatest hitter in MLB history
Thank you for this. All the best. Always.
Man I miss the 80's and 90's Cardinal baseball.....Now they reward minor league coaching with a contract extension for finishing in last place and a 91 loss record!
Amazing thing, he was kinda past his prime by then Still had amazing year
He was an absolute MONSTER that year for the Cards. Clutch hit after clutch hit. I have a massive amount of respect for the man, because he stepped away from the game to take care of his family. He CLEARLY could have put in a few more years, which may have given him a decent shot at the HoF.

LONG time Cubs fan here. I NEVER forgave Will for what he did to my Cubs back in that 1989 NLCS. even though Mark Grace hit OVER 500 in that series. Will hit 600. and got his team the pennant...THIS IS A NICE VIDEO.
Both good in college. Nba eh not so much
Missoureeee. Not missourah
Thanks for all the footage of the 1970's Cardinals, can't get enough ! Hope you have more 70's Cardinal baseball !
That was such a fun time as a Cardinal fan. I loved Will when he was a Giant even though he was a pain in our ass in ‘87 and in the ‘88 fight, but to see him finish as a Cardinal was awesome. I wish he had played one more season.
