I love ji jan wook alot ,but after watching this drama i hated him as he portrayed the ta hwan character exceptionally beautiful that i hated his character and loved wang yu alot as he portrayed as the most rightous. man

I felt like my heart broken because of this movie. Suffered a lot during watching it Life reminds me every second that it is so cruel to people 😢 The emperor spent his whole life among barbarians, if we consider them human. only Nyang supported loved cared him for the rest of his life but the emperor's servant did the work of a real beast with a fake message ( as if Nyang cheated on emperor with Wangyu) tried to destroy emperor’s pure love with evil thoughts during 5 year 😔😔😔 And what about his mother How mother could be a beast for his son Even animals care their child She knew that his son was poisoned but did nothing & wanted rule the whole kingdom And the Emperor ❤ How person can love someone so much 😭😭😭😭😭 Nyang What a happy woman she is

I am from South Africa and only speak English. I watched the entire 51 episodes and here are my thoughts: I apologise I cannot remember the names, it is VERY difficult for me because of strange names and places (subtitles were very good). So I hope you understand: -The Empress Ki is an amazing actress; I loved the initial part when she pretended to be a man and was very strong and very skilled and walked with a confident no-nonsense walk - fearless -then she was discovered to be a girl and she went through many transformations from timid, head bowed and slowly regained her fierce determination and strength -I am very impressed with King Wu (or is it Wang?) - he looks very dignified, strong and is a leader of Goryeo; I am amazed at the beautiful loyalty and friendship of his 4 loyal friends, each with their own skill (especially the Eunuch) - a beautiful and wonderful camaraderie - we all need friends like that -The Emperor is absolutely amazing; his transformation throughout the 51 episodes has been terrific -The Queen Dowager is very regal, very cunning and a very strong woman and very impressive -the costumes are very colourful, luxurious and exotic -all the décor, furniture and ambiance, has brought a very realistic look and feel to this Epic Historical Drama filled with romance, betrayal, tragedy, greed, poverty, slavery, struggle for power and the human element Well done to the actors, directors, producers and the whole team. I am sure they thoroughly enjoyed watching this series. I love K-Dramas because there is NO swearing or open frontal nudity or bad morals - Korean people are very humble and kind Warmest regards from South Africa

The drama series was very captivating.

Beautiful video, you captured all their best and worst moments perfectly. I'm rewatching the show for the second time and skipping all wang yu parts loll. i feel so bad for the emperor all over again. From beginning to end, the only thing he really wanted was Yang, he didn't even want to be emperor. i think she completely opened up herself to love him from when they went on their hunting trip, when he told her 'i want you'. I guess her heart was racing and she interpreted it as fear, because she tells commander park 'suddenly, i am afriad'. tbh falling in love is scary though because you give the other person so much power over you. prior to that moment she always liked ta hwan, even from when they were at goryeo, but then he caused her father to die and she completely closed herself to him, but even with that you can tell she still cared about him.and Ta Hwan is the only person she ever tells 'I love you' to in the whole show, I wish he knew that right from time. his insecurities about wang yu drove him to alcoholism and then drove him mad. it was very sad to watch.

❤любовь у него сильнее всех прочих..ведь сколько писем якобы любрвных к ван ю ему не приносили он ревновал,сходил с ума. но молчал и любил..это ж не одно и не 2.. евнух у него злодей почище дяди .жуть просто..с детства его гнобили как могли.дурачком марионеткой растили. То что он выжил уже чудо!! Очень тяжелая дорама!! Даже отрицательных героев понять можно!! То что крови и смертей много это понятно..в китае корее,японии жизнь ценили мало .да и вообще на востоке ее и сейчас мало ценят! Народа много!!😢

Он Великолепен.Без него не было бы этого фильма.
