The Mattcanic
Добавлен 11 янв 2018
Welding, Fabrication, Garage and Tool related media.
Well, it all started with Tinker Toys, Lincoln Logs, Erector Sets, and Legos. Then came too many episodes of MacGyver, Horse Power TV, and This Old House. I grew up watching Tim (The Tool Man) Taylor have the right idea, but not enough skill to get it done. I'm a public works Chief Mechanic/Professional fabricator who gets a lot of ideas from working on things that are poorly engineered, and other you tubers. Just thought I would share some of my ideas on RUclips.

Homemade Snowblower (Sno-ver Kill)
Start to finish on a custom homemade tractor or ATV snowblower. If you have any questions as to how I did any thing, plz feel free to ask. There was a lot of retro fitting that’s not in the video. Hope you like it. If you do plz like and subscribe. Thanks.

Excellent 👍👍🇨🇦
So basically you made a mount but the snowblower isn’t even remotely “homemade”, nor is the machine you mounted it to…
Hi, I would like to know what the pulley dimensions should be on the engine and blower. Also would a centrifugal clutch work or does it have to be an electric clutch.
i like that because you gave it it's own Engine ya can push it with anything you're 4x4 truck or a 4 wheeler whatever you got even a golf cart i gotta craftsman 1 stage I'd like to do this with but having the matching motor i don't wanna destroy the pair for a 1 off really cool tool
I bet you probably added rear weight to the lawn tractor by now. Nice looking build!
The video is good. The song is trash!
Hey bub awesome build ,what did you use to power the throttle remotely like that on that switch?
Holyshit....fantastic work my friend 👏 wow
Outstanding work and craftsmanship I am a 57 year old retired nuclear machinist. I am kinda new to the utube community and this has to be the BEST hands down video I've seen of a quality build on utube thus far. I've made steam engines and hit and miss engines from scratch but I would have loved to have helped you out with this, I tell you I would have been happy as a pig in mud to have had a hand in building this with you. The name of the unit is perfect too thanks for sharing this with us I truly appreciated it and your hard work.
i've been ssing around on a friends soft soft for years, finally bought it. I found your videos and instantly subscribed and have been
Who would have thought that using Bosca Ceoil for a little bit actually helped learn how to use a DAW lol
good luck craftsman mower
Hi, loved the video and thebuild :-) Im working on a similar project, but from a regular 2 stage blower. And I also want to flip the engine 180 degree, to make it overall shorter, but then the mechanism turn the wrong way :-/ Any tips or tricks to reverse the pulley direction? :-)
Awesome build. Looks great.
awesome build I have an old 1970 jd 140 with similar single stage blower they work great the old stuff just lasts
Bravissimo
KUDOS!!! Super job my friend.....Well Done!
Well, at least you won't have to replace the traction wheel.
Good job, i have one attached to my John Deere and can’t even keep one of the belts on that dam thing 😂,
Your day job is you're a welder/fabricator? very professional work. C'mon The Mattcanic you got to do a narrated video of your project. No I'm not ASE certified master mechanic. 😁
Fantastic job!! You got it all figured out!! 👍👍👍
Please do more.
wow. very nice work
OK, that was just fun to watch!
Do you have a limit switch on the right and left and the up and down fonction?
Freaking awesome my friend... WOW 👌
Nice work, Ace.
I’ve watched this video a couple of times over the last year or so. Like it even more every time I watch it. Absolutely beautiful build! Are you working on any new projects?
Outstanding ! That's awesome !
Outrageous man
I love it cuz
Looking for ideas to eliminate the long belt on my Kaman that pops off frequently and came across this. Is the added length out front an issue? I know turning my big GT 6000 with the Kaman can be a give me 40 acres and I will turn this rig around issue sometimes
Nice rig
People can accomplish things like this and here I am just watching Gilligan’s Island. 😩
Looks great man, awesome
Think I’ll make one now my 2500 cub cadet 3x pro model can suck a d!
How far does it throw the snow? I'm probably guessing not very far due to the tiny chute
JUST BE SURE TO MUTE THE HEADBANGER MUSIC BEFORE YOU PLAY THIS ONE. IT'S PRETTY DISGUSTING !
It looks nice, but I truly wonder how it steers with that much weight in the front. I suspect not well, and that's why you didn't show turning in the video. just going straight and back down.
Wow, I was expecting that to blow out ready made snowmen ⛄️ ⛄️ ⛄️ ...amazing build nonetheless!
Cool but for the amount of time you spent, you couldve bought 3 snowblowers new.
Awesome video. The song started to really get on my nerves something fierce.... I wanted to hear it run. Now I need to go get that wretched song out of my head....
What was the clutch you used? Electric? I’m making something similar for my atv. Thanks.
todd s ,heavy duty wood splitter clutch from northern to was about 65 bucks
Good job. Good video. Good tunes.
Well done project and vid, but (no offense) I muted that music ~
That's a nice build
2 words, BAD ASS !
Very impressive great build, you put a lot of thought into it and wonderful craftsmanship.
I want one, start selling it as a kit, or completed unit, been looking for exactly this...
