I like this approach and also present a lot of these concepts with my massage therapy students. I also like that you've incorporated effective coaching techniques to identify pain points and deeper meaning to the patient/client goals. Nice to-the-point presentation.
Am I missing something or is the diaphram model inverted for some reason? Isn't the right side supposed to be larger?
That was weak
yes please
It's been something I've been thinking about recently with my clients. What's going to get them to do the necessary amount of exercise to improve their issue. These is a nice simple question. Thank you.
Love the information Dave! Just to clarify, so we ask the patient to put intent through the fingers as in gripping the weight harder to bias rotator cuff activation more?
quality stuff dave! really wished uni and my placements would delve deeper into this crucial aspect of our field
Hi, because of multiple shoulder dislocations, I underwent a laterjet caracoid transfer, since then I’ve been unable to lift my behind my back, my shoulder and bicep strength is about 40% less than my other arm and I find paddling when surfing, smashes my traps, there’s also significant muscle wastage in that arm. Do you have any recommendations? I’ve been struggling for years and most Physio’s look lost the moment I mention the operation. Thank mate
yes
Has anything changed from when you first started doing this video series vs how things are now? I'm working on opening a massage therapy and rehab clinic and was wondering if it was worth going through your older video series?
Step by step system
Appreciate you uploading this series! Gives us a much better idea of what it takes to run a successful wellness clinic.
Welcome back Dave!
thank you! Great to be back!!
Thank you for the interesting content. Just a thought: maybe Paddy would benefit from a better microphone. As a non-native English speaker I sometimes find it difficult to understand every word. Anyway, keep up with the great job 👍
Hey Lorenzo thanks for the feedback. We have certainly identified this and will have this sorted for future episodes after this first batch that were recorded together!
Hi Dave great video as usual! I’m wondering if you still use NKT in your practice and would you recommend it for clinical practice?
@@ryanlie6250 hi Ryan thanks for the comment. I don’t use NKT per se but use muscle testing as part of my step by step system but more looking at the ability of the force steadiness between the whole limb like the foot knee and hip working together rather than just isolating muscles. Hope this helps. Dave
which soft tissues are you applying the pressure on?
@@ryanlie6250 the sub occipitals
Can you please attach the paper from Peter o Sullivan 1:09
Hi, Is it also possible for the diaphragm and ribcage to limit a supine straight leg raise test? Thanks!
Yes potentially. Research shows improving diaphragm length can improve hamstring flexibility

As a patient, not a physiotherapist, what I’ve found is there’s very little treatment for the cost involved now. A very brief hands on session followed by demonstration of exercises and then, if the patient is willing, some acupuncture. It’s been years since a physiotherapist did a full, lengthy hands on treatment for my issues. Once a patient has a diagnosis and has had a couple of sessions, they can continue on their own. My suggestion to physiotherapists is keep learning new and innovative techniques and go to continuing professional development courses. Most of what I learn now from physiotherapists, I find on RUclips, because those physiotherapists are innovative and on top of the latest research.
Yes please
Mcl rehab?
Great answer mate. I'm trying to put his VMO, medial hamstring and pes ans group in a position where they have no choice to tolerate load at this specific step of the graded exposure ladder.
