Dude you're really good at broadcasting baseball like this and you've got a voice for it. I like the way you talk about the pitchers.
Thank you! That means more than you know. Looking to grow this community one passionate subscriber at a time. Stay tuned for more! 👊🏼
How does he qualify for a prospect if he won’t throw a single pitch in MiLB?
Because he’s technically signing a minor league deal right now. There are some nuances that come with that. Hope this article helps!! www.baseballamerica.com/stories/why-roki-sasaki-is-eligible-for-the-baseball-america-top-100/
@ thank you! I’m glad that y’all take the time to help
Any time, Caleb! Feel free to shoot us any video suggestions you may have! We’re here to build the community brick by brick 💪🏼
Can yall talk about big names in Indy ball like shed longs and that one 1st round pick in the draft a while ago?
Sure can! Which 1st pick are you referring to? We’ve got a video on 1st overall picks coming up later this week btw, Caleb!
@@MinorLeagueMinuteI got Ethan Hankins confused with Brady Aiken who failed after being picked 1st in 2014 but Ethan went 35th one year and now he’s with the Gary shore cats
I can definitely dig up some draft picks who have gone to Indy ball! Keep an eye out for the no. 1 overall picks vid later this week, and I’ll have your idea in the vault (hopefully) for the near future. 😎
I was at this game!
I bet that was LIT (as the kids say) 🔥
Pirates are a competent offense away from competing for a pennant. But... Spend Nutting, Win Nutting
The farm is there, and a lot of these guys are in AA and AAA if not ready to crack that opening day lineup. The rotation could be unreal in 25!
So Drew Henson?
Brandon Weeden 2.0
Curious to see how fast he can rise up the depth chart 🔥
Hope this turns out well
Esteury Ruiz hit one for the Las Vegas Aviators that StatCast measured at 502 feet. It was announced as such at the game. (I was there). It went over the enormous scoreboard in center field, out of the park, and landed on the roof of the arena next door. However, the Aviators screwed up and reported it officially as 319 feet. That's 21 feet short of the left field wall at its closest point, at the foul pole. 319 feet to center field would have been a bloop single.
HOLY MOLY! The messed up report stinks, but that must've been an amazing first-hand experience!
I hope the Catcher bought drinks for the pitcher at the bar that night or got him a free meal or something…🤣 that’s a lot of dropped 3rd strikes
Rights?! 😂
do the lansing lugnuts
Amarillo sod poodles are nice
idk if this counts as minor league but the atlantic league gastonia balognia a promotion they did last season as they chose one of 8 names and the fans chose which one:
That’s awesome! What’d they go with?
@@MinorLeagueMinute they chose the gastonia ghost peppers
Bruh the trash pandas are probably a guardians of the galaxy reference
Both can be true 🤷🏼♂️
Iron pigs please
NEXT UP! I got you!
Minor league parks are the best place to experience baseball. It’ll work out.
It’ll definitely be a more intimate environment!
They'll be able to sell out that ballpark in West Sacramento it holds 14000 people. They won't have to deal with the heat since they are playing mostly night games
@ fair enough!
Fine guy to add but have they done enough to survive Willy leaving just yet? Willy put up 25- 30 homers a year . Garrett Mitchell with a full healthy season can be that guy and I predict he will have a breakout season. No on forget one JACKSON CHOIRIO ! This team is going to be GREAT! GO CREW!
That’s the small market way - develop and capitalize in that first contract! When you let an impact player go, it’s all about those prospects maturing and ultimately service time. The Brewers bought LOW signing Chourio when they did. If he has another year like he did this last summer, that deal will have already paid for itself
@@MinorLeagueMinutenot totally, this team doesnt skimp out when a player really worth keeping falls in their lap. Look at Yelich. Adames hopefully has a few more years in him but glad he got his money in SF but his future production might be easier to replace than we think
@@paplar9744 Agreed on that! There are exceptions!
both won imo I’m a sox fan and you guys got a nice haul painful but worth it
Mutually beneficial! One team is in win now mode, while another is in a full-blown rebuild
People said the same thing about the chris sale trade. We all know who won that trade.
@ true
@haydukethor as a white sox fan, I don't think there was anything wrong with the quality of prospects we get, I think some of these guys could become decent. It's just the white sox are incapable of developing prospects for the major leagues. A lot of teams call guys up for a year to get 50-100 ABs, then send them back down. Work with them a bit and when they get called up fulltime they're contributing right off the bat. Sox prospects get stuck in the minors like purgatory until they start to get too old, get called up, and have a roster full of worthless 28 year old <.250 hitters who were decent prospects 5 years ago.
@ Hopefully prospects like Colson Montgomery and Hagen Smith can fast track their way up!
Hi
Hey Andrew! How’s it going?
@ hey good and u
@ Good!
@@MinorLeagueMinute awsome
They have glasses the umpires could wear that would tell them if it's a ball or strike on every pitch so they don't even have to slow the game down for challenges.
Fair enough! But then what happens if there’s a trip in technology? This review system gets plenty of eyes on it in case of a blatant mistake. I like it though!
jax jaguars have 2 pools in ever bank stadium. comes in clutch during those early season games where it’s still 90+ in florida.
I bet that hits DIFFERENT in that mid-September heat
Monthly or per year?
Per year!
That river has to be 40% piss at this point. Imagine how many people drink beer after beer and never get out to use the bathroom.
In chlorine we trust
I have been in it for my birthday it’s really cool and 2 home runs were hit into the water
That sounds AWESOME! If I get to that stadium, I’ll 100% be aiming for the lazy river seating. Did you track down either of the home run balls?
@ yeah we actually got them both
Kevin Costner losing money? I don't believe it...we all saw water world
It’s pronounced “done Eden”
Thank you!
Bro ben joyce
They’re lighting up the radar gun the same 🔥
Horrid name change. Gonna lose so many fans
Not a fan of the rebrand?
@ god no
Well, I think it's an awesome name change, and no, they're not gonna lose so many fans. Please respect my opinion 🙏
Chris hook is gonna cool with this one
If Hook indeed cooks, do they build the statue? - Sam
@ 1000%
Looked like the Iowa Cubs
Cousin is him im his cousin
@@JefferyGordon-bu1jl Oh let’s GO!! 🔥
We used to have one of the oldest stadiums here municipal stadium in Hagerstown MD sadly it was torn down during the pandemic when they moved the nationals single A affiliate to Fredericksburg VA. These are incredible pieces of history.
@@mattburns872 No way! I’ll have to do more reading up on that. The Fred Nats had quite the prospect in Dylan Crews buzzing through their level this year 🔥
Well, Fun, Huh?
Yessir!
Dios y ya ⚾♥️🔥👂👈🦍🙏
Simpson is back at it again ✨
Yessir!
Cool video Thanks 👍
@@MarkCzmic420 Thank you for watching!
Thanks for saying Wisconsin correctly 😂
With a handful of us being from WI, it’s our pleasure 😂
All these guys are so special. I got a Wyatt Langford autograph at a minor league game last year.
Hold onto that puppy! Max Clark is hitting .290 in High-A and is somehow 4th out of those top 4 picks. The draft class is 🔥
We need max clark
He’s been heating up + has 30 stolen bags this year. It’s only a matter of time!
I bet they take their time after kind of rushing Tork though
@@MinorLeagueMinute yeah Tork’s situation has been funny though, last year he had a great year. He was bad most of this year, but has hit super well after being called up.
@@BenRoberson-s8r He has been up and down, but my goodness the physical ability is there!
I’d say that calling him one of the best on earth is a stretch. He’s absolutely amazing and very talented but it’s difficult to compare a 17 year old and prime Nolan Ryan. He’s easily one of the best prospects on earth but definitely not on of the best overall players imo
Definitely one of the best prospects!
Don’t forget about Nolan Schanuel
Also true! He flew up that system and debuted last year which is crazy. Dude looks like the real deal 🔥
Looking like a steal , since Geno has turned it on and Puk has been really good
Oh man! They need to trade this guy. We only want guys who can barely hit .200. Guys like, Baldwin, Vargas, Robinson, etc
Luna is a Star ⭐️
I agree!
I mean its kind of hard to pay them more when people dont watch them like they do for MLB players.
Revenue generation is definitely a factor, but there aren’t many pro players in any sport making that little
Just got home from the tides game and got a free championship ring
Let’s GOOOO
. 163 in AAA after not playing for a decade is nuts
Right? The idea of even connecting on the ball 30-40% of at bats after not playing for that long is impressive. All power to him 🔥
I have all the respect in the world for Tebow, he’s even doing well in the box with the crew broadcasting
Agreed! He’s one of the better listens when it comes to insight on Saturday and Sunday mornings
So genuinely happy he went to Illinois. Can't have any Wolverines on the Buccos. Can't wait to see Camden in Black and Yellow!!!
Camden should thrive in Florida! He has one of the most mature games I’ve ever witnessed in person.
Jackie Robinson Ballpark in Daytona Beach.
Oldest ballpark in the minors! ⚾️
@@MinorLeagueMinute when the stadium was renamed in 1990 (it used to be City Island Ballpark) a statue of Robinson was unveiled. Then-National League Commissioner Bill White was there as was Don Newcombe and the graceful and amazing Rachel Robinson. I remember because I interviewed them all. They also played an old-timers game and the late Harry Burney sang the third stanza of the "Star-Spangled Banner."
@@JosePerez-vz1qq This is PHENOMENAL stuff! I can imagine that was one riveting interview. Thank you so much for the insight! Who were you working for at the time?
