I know I'm 4 months late, but i just started playing and at 60+ hours in, i noticed that blade flashing to a shinobi stance after staggering the boss is OP. Shinobi stance is always red, but it does soo much damage.

Luna is good. Without sny crit mods, im hititng at 110K crit. Just crystalized her and going to crystallize her 3 more times to see what insane damage and long buff times. Got a 10m range radius with her buffs right now, with a longer buff duration too

The kind of damage you were taking is definitely mitigated. You were taking a firearm and attack damage from that boss, which is one of the damage types mitigated by defense, but you were also shield regenerating faster than he could take your shield off, which means your shield was taking much of the damage on your health/shield cat I mean, we could see your shield go down and back up and down and back up that’s not your house taking damage and surviving that shield taking damage and generating epic fail, my friend

Hatchback with your shield there are three different stats that coming to play in different ways. They don’t actually interact with each other at all. They don’t stack your shield in your defense. Don’t do anything . Shields are just another health bar for certain kind of damage defense shields block damage like you if your shield takes 200 points of damage to be taken down that’s gonna happen before anything hits your health unless that type of damaging your shield, and your shield isn’t gonna be damaged at all and I’m not entirely sure but I don’t think that defense mitigate damage to your shield only your help. I am not fine through that but in most games that’s the way it works otherwise you wanna shield and defense as much as possible more involved because those are gonna cover, the biggest majority of damage are going to take.

Defense with anything it’s a separate calculation when they spend supplies to the incoming damage time then the damage coming in is reduced when it doesn’t it’s not even considered. It’s not stacked with anything are stacked with your health but again certain kinds of damage. Ignore shield, white poison. Ignore shields all together poison just help not mitigated and it’s not blocked by shield certain kinds of damage go straight after help. That’s why health is important. Having high health is important but at the same time mitigating a fair amount of damage 25 or 30%, that’s not the that ignored and avoiding damage all together by having your shield take the run of it and then recharging before you take that also useful of them by themselves can stand alone
