Saw him play on his 70th birthday in a blues club in Chicago. He was in a very jovial mood, cracked lots of jokes and played fantastic blues with his great band. His amp said "AC Reed the man that's full of shit". Absolute legend!

Yes, he could pick his ass off back then…that is true, HOWEVER, he was still developing both his style and his licks. It’s not always all about speed chops and shredding. It has a lot to do with style and class as well. Have you heard him of late? He’s much more mature in his style. He’s learned a lot about playing through the changes and he’s developed new techniques. While he’s always been a shredding multilick virtuoso, he’s obviously come a long ways and is much more pleasant to listen to nowadays…in my opinion. Here’s to your willingness to change, Mr. Smith!

It is sad to realize that out of the 7 of us on that stage, only Felton, Minoru Maruyama, and myself are still here.Eddie C Campbell AND Michael Coleman were both fantastic guitarists. BJ and Butch Dixon (keyboards) were fine musicians as well. Eddie C and I used to be roomies in The Willie Dixon Chicago Allstars. Rest in heaven my brothers. I'll always remember the good times that I shared with each one of you.

Saw Kenny and his brothers on the same weekend as Katrina hit his home state of Louisiana. We were in Northern Michigan and Kenny said he had not heard from his family yet. But despite obvious worry, they put on an amazing show.

There seems to be a sore lack of Mark Hannon ("The Blues Cannon") music available. I had high hopes for this, I just wish the sound could have been better. Also, it great to see the very talented Ken Saydak here.

Thanks for this video. I'm not familiar with Dan Bellini but maybe that'll change now. On the other hand, I've been able to dig both local boy Armando Cortez and the Kid.

"Callin' Muddy Waters".....no better Blues song. The dueling at the end w/ the crescendo will give ya goosebumps!
