@@Belgamor77 nice analysis! To add to that, I think Daiki got a bit discouraged after losing the first match, having had a solid opportunity to take the first set. Also very few people will win in a straight forehand to forehand rally with Yonis, so maybe Daiki tried some tricks or change of spin/pace.

@@perthpongtt I had never seen Yonis play before, but his forehand looks solid (his backhand is great as well). What is weird about his forehand is that it curves (a bit like mine and many left hand players), which makes it hard to get into a solid fh to fh rally, since making the trajectory adjustment might make your shot a bit weaker. Having said that, Daiki took at least 1 point from a fh to fh rally, which is impressive, but I still think that if instead of chop blocks he blocked wide the other way and get ready to attack Yonis return, he might have had a better chance. I think I've watched a kid's match a while ago in this venue, it sounds familiar.

From what I understand he did play on a provincial level when he was in China. It checks out, the way he plays forehand counter rallies, look at the other vids.

@@perthpongtt think u didn't get my point. he is just a normal person playing ball in a certain province that he is born in. just a person playing table tennis as a hobby nothing else.

@@keekengho-jq1qe I get your point, but what I'm saying is I believe he also played for a provincial team in China some time ago (in a similar way someone can be selected to play for the state team in Western Australia, for example, to represent the state in official competitions)

​@@perthpongtt Tks. Believe is like a scam. a player playing in a "provincial team" is a normal person like any other from Western Australia state or at times lesser. There is nothing fancy for playing in a chinese province. It is just to share where the player is from only nothing else. The world is so big. a province that a person come from is just too small to begin with. Take responsibility ownself as a person and not fake it with some representation of a place or organisation worst casually.

I mean. Like 90% of Lins strategy the whole game was simply to bully this kids backhand, I wouldn't necessarily call that "any way possible" when a player of Lins caliber could have stunted much harder on an opponent like Yau.
