Yes. I have several videos and shorts uploaded of the bosses I've encountered so far. I still have another 16 yet to upload and about half the DLC remaining.

If you click on the icon in the bottom right it'll take you to the full video, though it's only a few seconds more but you can see the item drop. The sword (star-lined sword) drops from the Demi human Queen though, so then you can use that katana.

and it looks like it's a polter stone..... just a consumable, nothing special.

@@Honeybeebop. no worries! the Demi Human queen that drops the swordmaster's katana is near this swordmaster. Both are fairly easy to beat if you want the sword.

The boss list I'm using labels it as a troll knight, but it does look like those giants. Same thing more or less

This is the first boss I encountered in the DLC. I spent a while trying to win, but ultimately had to came back later after beating a few more bosses. I spent many attempts at it, but half of those were from trying to do a no-hit run, only to get hit towards the end, so I figured this was good enough for now.

glad you like the music. A loot goblin, lol, haven't heard that before. Reminds me of treasure goblins form the Diablo games.

In the base game my challenge was to beat all 200+ bosses and mini bosses without exceeding lvl 100, using katanas only, except for the spear with Rykard and a bow on a putrid tree spirit. Before that challenge I used a shield with broadsword types all the time in this game and the souls series. To continue that challenge I'm striving to complete the DLC as well with the same conditions.

If I added a 100 lvls to my current level 100, in stats to influence my weapon damage, I could gain a significant boost from the DLC scaling to those stats. High damage looks fun, but I'm striving to stay at level 100 to the end.

I like it so far. Challenges allow for growth. I was caught off guard by this boss though.

@@kurisu_the_determined yeha i like difficulty. malenia and placidusax were my fav bosses in the main game

@@justclxxy Placidusax was fun. I took him out on the 3rd or 4th try. I did use mimic though, even if he died off quickly not making much of a difference. All the dragons are fun though. Bayle will be a challenge from the looks of it.

@@kurisu_the_determined bayle is a really fun fight. Placidusax was hard for me cuz I insisted on never rolling forward so the attacks where he’d teleport then fly down and hit you with a lightning claw would always kill me lol

I just picked it because my challenge this run was to stick to samurai weapons, primarily katanas, and staying under level at a lvl 100 max cap. It doesn't tank hits well at all though.

It would be interesting to see if there is any difference in damage to the enemies and damage received, from 2 identical files and characters except for rune level. I may try to experiment with that on a backup save to see.

@@kurisu_the_determined as far as I know, enemy damage and hp does not scale off of character level. An interesting thing that I noticed is that when I went into NG+1, the enemies did the same damage and same hp (most likely a glitch) . I could only find two enemies that dropped extra runes. So I think that the dlc only scales off of scad fragments, but could be wrong. In past FromSoft DLCs, they always scaled off of NG and area scaling.

Nope, no NPCs in Fromsoft games have dynamic stat scaling

3.15 extra damage instead of 3 extra damage, (with one scad lvl) idk if it gets rounded up or down. Forgot that scad fragments also increase defense but I'm unsure what the exact increase is.

Yes exactly. There are people thinking that rune level doesn't matter, but in fact it does since the scadutree fragments increase the existing stat by a percentage. Exactly 💯

It's + 5% per a scad level

And the highest attack power I've seen so far is 1500, but the scad blessing wasn't maxed yet
