I learned the same version from an old book called Bluegrass Guitar, Artie Traum I think. Good job, hope you're still pickin'....
I second the other comment in that i thought it was a pre war at first. great tone to it
…lol I’ve never heard it that way thx
…no substitute for the real
14 yrs. ago , well I'll have to say that may be the best sounding Stelling that I've ever heard , at first I thought it was a pre- war .
Very nice
One more time..... Then..... Momma don't low....
Nice. Been playing the song for 30 years. Today, I realized I've been playing it wrong. I have work to do! Never give up.
Outstanding.
Who is the arranger of this, is it published and is the tab/music available?
Sim... muito 👏👏
What kind of banjo is that if you don't mind me asking?
Now could you show us the right hand technique?
Pick the strings. Then pick other ones. :)
Is this 2 Finger style? Greetings from germany thank you
Andy Elements unofficial I wanna know how to play it like this
Now if only you'd boil your cabbage head.
Awesome!
May I please inherit the Spanish throne?
I love that tune but can’t find anyone willing to teach it!
Do you have a pickup in your D series special guitar? Does this guitar have forward shifted bracing?
Do you have aTAB for this tune?
Good job! This is the version I play, too. Enjoyed that!
If you want to see it played like a boss, watch Roy Clark playing the same song.
Excellent job, thank you! Can anyone tell why some folks call this song Under The Double Buzzard?
Probably something to do with the crest of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (this was originally an Austrian march, believe it or not).
+Ridge Patterson Thank you Mr. Patterson for your interesting response. I can remember my Father and Grandfather listening and playing this tune. I will continue searching out its origins with what you were so kind to have shared.
+Gerald West Good luck Mr. West on your search. You may want to start with Josef Wagner (I think he wrote it). Coming from a family with a bluegrass history, I appreciate people trying to preserve their history 😊
Ridge Patterson Yes sir, we are certainly bluegrass lovers around this neck of the woods. Everybody plays some kind of instrument lol I'm a banjo picker and a little guitar, dulcimer. Thank you again for being so helpful.
Gerald West No problem, man
Thanks for the jump start, with your help I'm on the way to becoming picker proficient...
