I can't make out what he was chasing in the first half of the lap, but it sure had excellent straightline handling.

If the race continued to full distance, I think that Stefan Bellof would have won the race. It would have been a great epic racing contest between Senna & Bellof. And Bellof would not have been afraid of trying & even passing Senna. But it the end even if Bellof did win, Senna would have been awarded the win, because of the Tyrell team getting disqualified for the rest of the 1984 season after July of that year. A great pity for the Tyrell team & it's drivers Stefan Bellof & Martin Brundle that year. #RIPStefanBellof #RIPAyrtonSenna

So, two guys wearing slacks and blazers are standing 3 steps away from the pole-sitter when the flag dropped. I guess there were no worries about the 20 cars still to pass wouldn't swerve off the track fighting for position. Unbelievable.

it seems strange to see ayrton and michael duelling..and ye this was going to be the main focus the following year…only for the benetton to be in blue and greens and of course ayrton would then be in the williams. i did love the 1993 season and how it morphed with some nice changes into 1994..and then alain then retiring in the mix. our nigel was still racing too…
