Bach - Matthäus-Passion BWV 244 : Und als er noch redete, siehe, da kam Judas...
Passage from Bach's Matthäus-Passion
Liedtext:
Evangelist
Lyrics:
Evangelist:
And while he was speaking still, behold, there came Judas, one of
the twelve, and with him came...

The Phantom of the Opera (1925) - Don Juan Triumphant (Audio Only)

Don Juan Triumphant music from the 1925 Phantom of the Opera. This is my favorite piece of music (and scene) from the film. Watch the full movie here: ruclips.net/video/TUamUHcxMVY/видео.html
Wow this is really good, I didnt expect this
No way
Still the best movie adaptation of phantom of the opera
Absolutely! The only thing bad is the ending 😢
Actually the ending is a way better version then the books
@@matthewjh138 it's a relief to see that people that like the 1925s horrible ending misunderstood both the movie itself and specially the novel, which proves Universal s*cked and the Phandom (Poto fanbase) is right. As well as Lon Chaney and Gaston Leroux both hated the ending, because they, ya know, *understood* the story 😂😂😂
Eh I do understand the story but personally I just don’t think the books very good it’s badly passed and tonally inconsistent. It’s got some great ideas but it’s executed poorly. The ending to the book would absolutely work is Erik was a nicer character but they never make him so the whole book his just pure evil laughing cackling like a cartoon villain at peoples deaths so he really doesn’t deserve a bitter sweet ending. The movie fixes this by making the ending something that fits the evil acts his done. Of course your free to disagree that’s fine but for me the 1925 film was a more condensed and better version of the book
@@matthewjh138 the 1925 film is definitely a much more impactful one. I just saw it on channel TCM and I saw a lot of points where we see similar scenes like in Frankenstien 1931, the chase scene from the people with torches and pitchforks is an example. Damn I love the classic horror silent film genre
On today's antique roadshow Eric would be a genius whose 1st prints would be worth 80k
Yesss!!
Finally, the creepy version that I enjoy!
Eu amo esse filme mas o Erik não é creepy 🖤 Eu amo esse gostoso, uma pena que o cinema bestializou ele
Honestly the soundtracks alone make silent films awesome.
👍👍👍👍👍👍, EXCELENTE ORQUESTA !!
Is there a music sheet for this?
At 1:52 is where my favorite part begins
I've just shed tears because of this music. We can safely say that the composer succeeded in making me feel Erik's pain...Poor Unhappy Erik
It gives me shivers in a soft way, exactly what Erik’s Don Juan triumph should sound like, incredible, we can feel all the pain he went through and going through still
Indeed, our poor unhappy Erik 💔😔
Your username is curious, are you a Ghost fan??
You have no idea how long i've been looking for this version, bloody hell
Now this is good, how the hell did it turn into whatever tf was in the movie
?
@@mieshocked1450 the movie
@@arazimargas9045 i didn't understand what you said about the movie
@@mieshocked1450 the 2004 version was trash
@@arazimargas9045 it could be cause this is from the older movie not 2004 (: you can find it on RUclips that's where I watched it!
Dontcha just miss it when iconic stories were more "Tell-it-like-it-is" rather than be a sexualized wussy?? LOL
1:23 violin: _hmmmmhmmmm_ organ: *allow me to introduce myself.* also Lon Chaney is epic anyone read phantom by Susan Kay it’s great
The Susan Kay's novel is so excellent and accurate that we, from Phandom (Phantom Fandom), consider it as actual canon!! 😂😂 The only thing i dont approve is... Christine... looking like Erik's mom... Weeeeeird...
@@mieshocked1450 I once did this SICK drawing of Nadir Khan, which is what Kay named the Persian…I also drew Erik if he had a normal face, it was great *insert phantom overture* I love that piece
@@foodofthegods Nadir and Hatim, my favorite versions of the Daroga ❤️ Have you already seen the korena MazM game version? There are a lot of problems about it, but i like the game, and MazM Erik is fantastic and hot 😅❤️ I already saw a non-deformed version of MazM Erik, simply amazing... but the normal version is beautiful and worthy too :)
@@mieshocked1450 I just did another drawing. It’s the mask. Surrounded by this black flame design with different shades of red and some silver… I did it with Posca paint markers and ended up blending it with my fingers but OH MY GOD IT IS A MASTERPIECE ERIK HIMSELF WOULD BE PROUD OF. And that’s saying something.
@@foodofthegods Erik is ma baby ❤️❤️ and yes, he would be proud of your draws and the love you gave to them
How can you not think about Erik's feelings and pain hearing this? Indeed, such a genius of music and art. Thanks by posting this, Lucifer bless you.
Hey again
My Favorite Silent Movie of all time in the Classics
SEEN THE MOVIE LOVE THE SOUNDTRACK! Lon Chaney is the BEST 🎭🎹🎻
I love the Gabriel Thibaudeau score ♥ this is the best!
There are lyrics. And an orchestra filmed a concert and everything. I think the video was taken down, but the title translated to something like "you bring me to hell"?
That's right. "Tu m'amenas aux enfers" by Gerda Findeisen, Thibaudeau's wife. I love that song, wish we had the full lyrics transcription@@adamnomdeplum3
is this music public domain or copyrighted? and is it royalty free?
The movie is public domain and has been since the 50s I think
@@DanielQwerty you "think"
@@KeizerZX I know it’s public domain, I think it became public domain in the 50s
@@DanielQwerty thanks for this knowledge
I can just imagine the Phantom playing this on the pipe organ down in his lair.
You mean *Erik* , yeah, me too :)
Firmin: w-what is that _sound?_ Moncharmin: I mean…It’s horrible but I also kinda dig it….
This was released many times, each with different scores to bring this silent film to life. Which version/composer is this; can someone link me to release (The Phantom of the Opera [1925]) that used this particular composer's score?
It was made Gabriel Thibaudeau. His score was present on some editions of dvd releases and on the blu ray by Image Entertainment .
When you say Phantom of the Opera this is the movie I think of not that 2004 monstrosity
I agree with you on that. I can't stand that Gerard Butler!!😠😠😠😠😠 That guy can't even scare anyone with that lame sunburn face. Pathetic.
@@jasminnemcdonald94A at least lon Chaney went for scary
@@jasminnemcdonald94A i agree that the diformity sucks but that's not Gerard's fault
@Victoriess does the line "can i ever forget that face, so distorted, diformd it was hardly a face" mean nothing?
@@b.d6642 no? I said he was supposed do have a disfigured face but not really scary
Can someone link me to the full movie score? :)
My name is Nathaniel elis booth diavid trores I You have a manger ho thinks it's houmeres
What?
Fuck the remake, the original film is so much better than the crappy remake that they made into a shitty piece of crap musical
I wish i could find the scores or the song on spotify. Annyone who knows?
