@@yashsbhatia yes you really can’t go wrong with using Mobile 1. Is recommended for most foreign vehicles which usually withstand longer oil change intervals.

Good and tight. Technically you should practice using torque specs, but on a brake job like this I don’t get too technical. I believe I’ve been doing this long enough to have a feel for how tight they should be. The specs are easily obtainable online groups forms you can pull up on google .

Good catch! I’ve since started using light coats of anti seize/ grease to the brake routines.

Thanks! Yea well it cost to be lazy or more so for convivence. So people don't have the time or energy to fiddle with oil change. Just like I hire lawncare service to take care of my yard so I can focus my time on other areas. One thing I've learn in this game of life is although i may be capable of doing everything myself i don't because its not always the most efficient or effective route.

I did not use a torque wrench to perform this job. I just made sure that they were good and tight.

The brakes pads may drag and wear prematurely.

@@BruceMobile I am confused. You installed the pads from the inside so how do you expect the spring clips to work?

@@davo912 the spring clips put tension on the pads once it’s all assembled.

@@BruceMobile Earth to Mr Mechanic..the pads MUST be put on from the outside and the end of the clip sits in the groove on the pad and and pushes the pad to the OUTSIDE when you take your foot off the brake pedal. When you put the pad in from the inside the clip has no way to push the pad. This is what happens when you don't have a clue how that brake system works

This video should be applicable for the 2019 model as well. I’d love to make a video for the brake service but unfortunately I currently don’t have a Velar available to service.

Is very well possible to remove with your standard wrench. I would maybe couple two wrenches together if need be to gain more leverage. A long flex head ratcheting wrench makes much easier and quicker to work with.

If you have the tools is actually easier than most vehicles especially with the filter on top.
