14th leicester (my sons 2nd Leicester) this did not mean anything to me until we had a Sunday Service in Bembridge Isle of Wight shared with the Lifeboat Crew! I have never heard men sing with such conviction, and it still brings tears to my eyes! May your Anchor Hold!
It's very lovely and all you fault finders needs to shut up. You all want to much of temper and bacchanal in the music at church that is why God has left most of the churches and Satan has taken over, Gospel is not Hip Hop neither Reggae nor calypso. It's soothing music to the soul
you can judge a book by its cover, most of the time, its about 80 percent right. i don't think a terrorist can dress up as a hamster, hamsters are too small, unless he is a huge hamster. in that case, his ability to be a terrorist would be compromise. then he wouldn't be a good terrorist at all.
Agree, don't like this version, You should have heard it sung by 14th Leicester and the Bembridge (IOW) Lifeboatmen (Sunday at Camp in the 1970's). I'll never forget that! Steadfast and Sure with the 14th and my sons 2nd Leicesters!
This song does my heart good, but I prefer a more traditional rendition, such as the one featured on the CD pictured above, which I own. Dare I politely suggest that it would be better to stress that this is an entirely unrelated version lacking most of the text and not the one on the Ely cathedral CD whcih by the way is sold in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, a British charity which saves hundreds of lives each year?
