Tracing Dugway Brook
#creeks #cleveland #urbanwaterways #lakeerie #urbanexploration #natureinthecity
Dugway Brook is one of Cleveland's "bluestone streams" that has been hidden and obscured by urban development. Most of the stream is buried, but a few open sections still remain, and they retain much of their original beauty. Let me show you some of the best spots to see this nearly forgotten living relic that's in Cleveland, Cleveland Heights, East Cleveland, University Heights and South Euclid.

I used to lead hikes of the gorge before the pandemic. We would usually circumnavigate the whole gorge east of MLK. A few spots were pretty tricky but I never lost any hikers.

Thanks, and great future video idea! Cuyahoga Falls has a lot of interesting geology and the fact that the flow of the river changes direction suddenly has a lot of interesting geologi history to it. I will add it to my list of future videos to make!

@@cleurbannaturalist I know that's @SummitMetroparks - and they have some great videos. Maybe work with them and wait til after the Gorge Dam is removed, and do a before and after and why naturalists are so excited about the project. Though the whole gorge is fascinating, from the beautiful paths to the amazing rocks.
