Seattle should have paid A Rod he would have been a great mariner
Seattle A Rod was a beast i never seen him in his Seattle days until now
How the 90's Mariners never won a WS is insane. Team of studs
멋지다
He was so good for Seattle. The Mariners were so good in the 90s with Ken Griffey Jr., a young A-Rod, Edgar Martinez and Randy Johnson. 🤯🤯
Jay Buhner!
Lol that mf took a tumble 0:42 although I’d imagine ARod’s 1st homer would be worth a decent chunk of change so I get it
not much people can master sinker and have that nasty downwards side movement, with 2 seam grip a lot of people got that 2 seam grip but can't have that nasty movement
Posada has got to be one of the worst framers ever
You don’t need to frame swinging strikes. Or balls thrown jn the strike zone, for that matter.
@@viccorrell6157 and he managed to also take good looking strikes and move his mitt weirdly, costing many strikes to alot of pitchers which further proves my point at how bad he was lmao
@@erickfernando1304 framing pitches is overrated, anyway, with with the automated strike zone.
How was he safe
Así dice un poco de gente que con el equipo cuba no hace
Bobby Witt Jr. the new "laughing lion" George Brett for the Royals. Bobby is a regal prince on the field, and a first class family. As the line goes in the Movie Rounders, "pay that man his money, John Sherman" and then triple the amount. Win or lose, watching Bobby play is worth the price of admission.
It is criminal this guy is not in the Hall of Fame. He is the only pitcher with 3,000+ strikeouts to not be in the Hall.
Roger Clemens
@@doublem1975x You are right about Clemens. However, Clemens also has the steroids allegations. I don't think there is any reason to think Schilling took steroids. That is the difference between Schilling and Clemens. Schilling stats are also very similar or even better than some other Hall of Famers. Just because you don't like a guy's political views is not a good enough reason to keep one out of the Hall.
@@chris93703 Schilling had his best seasons after the age of 35. I think that’s reason enough for suspicion based on your standards. Neither Schilling or Clemens failed an mlb drug test.
@@doublem1975x Schilling himself has said he didn't really try when he was younger. It is also possible to cheat on a steroid test. When someone is taking steroids it makes your whole body bigger including your head. When I compare earlier and more recent pictures of Schilling I don't quite see that difference. In my opinion going by the stats alone Schilling should be in the Hall. There are other people with higher era's who have been inducted. It wasn't just later on when Schilling was 35 he was putting up great stats either. Even back in 1996, 1997, and 1998 he led the league in several categories. 3 times he missed the Cy Young award by just one vote. I just can't see for any other reason than Schilling's political views why he was kept out. I think later on the Veteran's Committee will eventually vote Schilling in but that may not happen for a long time. ach
@ Yes Schilling had a HOF level career. 79 bWAR, 3000 k club etc. But that not the point I want to address…Schilling got better after 35. That’s enough to prove he took steroids based on your ludicrous standards. Truth is there isn’t anymore concrete proof against Clemens than there is against Schilling. If you want to pass unproven speculation as fact then everybody who played in that era is culpable. They either all get in or nobody gets in.
The problem has been the same for 3 years straight ……if we dont hit homers we dont score
I’m not a Phillies fan but watching Houston get ran over is something I’m here for
Amazing composure. You will be missed.
What a powerful all-timer lineup! Surely they did not get no-hit in the same series.
Noooo
I hope Shohei blasts homeruns at this ratio.
Can't wait for this season
And they still lost lol
HOF !!!
Why is he not in the hall of fame? Because of his political views? His fights with the media? He certainly has the stats. Did he do PEDs?
Why in the world did the Orioles let him go?
Great question. Imagine the Orioles having Schilling, Mussina, and Ripken Jr. in the early 90s 😮
Most likely if he had stay in Seattle, he would be today, in The Hall of Fame.
Thank u so much for this. I started watching MLB when he was a Yankee. Always want to see more clips from his Mariner days.
Is this with, or without the steroids? 😂
I guess Alex only played for the Mariners? The title should be "Best of Alex but only for Mariners before PED's"
He was on peds even during the Mariners
He was on PEDs from highschool and beyond. Its well documented
Remember them Du Ay
Thank you for this, Please add more strikeout highlights of Aces in the past!
I was at this game. The stadium was silent during Miggy’s grand slam, but you can bet I was going nuts!
This is indeed the best of CS…. what’s left now is trash
Schilling and randy joshnson both deadly. Crazy how diamondbacks had them both
And no surprise they won with both.
2:16- rare curveball from schilling
Gerrit Cole man. Dude's averaging 51 pts a game now in a points league I'm in lol monster stuff. I really need him in my roto league, my ERA and Whip are horrendous.
So, who's record did he break? I am thinking Murcer or Jerry Kenney?
Nobody's. The record for stolen bases in a game is 7 by Billy Hamilton
Welcome To The Chicago White Sox
Imagine that Mets don’t go to World Series 😢!!!
Wow Mets lost again!!
Chief-Ming Wang was one of the best sinker ball pitchers during his prime.
Runner at 2nd was out (he ran home *WITHOUT* stopping )at 3rd. A's win -5-4 per Rob Manfred.
Go Orioles !!
first ml hit was out.
perhaps
The Yankees fan that’s been in me ever since I was born on October 21st, 1996 says, “I still miss this catcher.” However, the MLB fan in me has wished him the best of luck ever since he was traded to Minnesota. Gary Sanchez was an absolute monster (especially while at bat), and my favorite Yankees baseball player ever since guys like Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada, C.C. Sabathia, A-Rod, and others that I’ve watched growing up all retired from the league. I even remember when he was able to keep up with Aaron Judge in the power hitting department with all the long-ass home runs he’s hit early in his career! I could only imagine how *HUGE* of a star he really could’ve been if he not only improved himself on defense behind home plate, but also didn’t get injured a lot. I personally think he would’ve been a greater force than Mike Piazza ever was if he made those 2 adjustments.
100% agree. He had 50 HR potential, as a catcher! His potential was limitless but it really feels like he didn’t put the necessary work in to take it to legendary status.
@@salamisumo2 Well unfortunately, that’s also true. Sanchez didn’t put the necessary work in to take his career to legendary status, which to me, is absolutely sad because I’ve always wondered what type of baseball player that the man most commonly known as “The Kraken” could’ve been if he actually did.
Defense from Pena, Mancini and McCormick won that game 5.
Let’s Go Astros!!!
All that to lose in 6 🙂
Looks like the astros are getting set up to make it 2 in a row next season. Abreu was a great get. Chicagos gotta be bummed about that. Weird because after the astros, the white sox are the next team i like to watch and root for
2005 must have been weird as hell for you. 😂
He’s been ass
0:02 He’s not a Peña, he’s an Araña.
The reason they hit so much was becuase McCullers Jr. had hicks, which means his body would react to the pitch he was pitching, so the Phillies knew what was coming because they knew how to figure out pitches from hicks.
Announcer really missed a chance to call us the Broad St. Bombers instead of South Philly Bombers.
And then got no hitted the next day and didn’t win a single game after that
And then we went to world Series & this year we Actually have a better team.
