Don't believe that communion in the hand began somewhere in the 1700s etc... It's fabricated history... Research has shown that communion was always on the tongue... If it was given " in the hand" a scarf or cloth was placed over the hand ( both hands together) and the Holy Eucharist was retrieved of that scarf or cloth with the mouth.... As most people here commented and they were right.... OUR HANDS ARE NOT CONSECRATED TO TOUCH THE HOLY EUCHARIST..... ONLY A PRIEST'S.... NOT EVEN THE " EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS AND DEFINITELY NOT WOMEN.... BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO BE ORDAINED AS A PRIEST TO TOUCH THE HOLY EUCHARIST. ALL THAT'S HAPPENING IN THE CHURCH NOW IS BECAUSE OF VATICAN 2 WHICH WAS FROM SATAN..... GO RESEARCH YOUR MARIAN PROPHECIES. OUR LADY CAN'T LIE.
This is how communion in the hand started.... A bunch of priests from the Netherlands began this trend.... Soon it spread to Belgium then France and pretty soon all of Europe was doing it.... NOW REMEMBER THIS WAS WITHOUT PAPAL APPROVAL.... When the USA got wind of it they petitioned the Vatican and was granted an " indult" ( temporary approval) so the Americans started it as a trial run...... The fact that an " Indult" was granted shows you that this wasn't the norm and that no papal approval was given in the first place.... Pretty soon almost all of America was doing it.... The Vatican saw how wide spread it was and since they were spineless to stop it they SAID LET'S FORMALIZE IT..... and that my friends is... How they say it.... HISTORY. Ironically at Garabandal long before this sacrilege began... OUR LADY TOLD ONE OF THE SEERS THAT THIS SACRILEGE WILL BEGIN..... and the seers who were still kids at the time could not believe that such a thing could be allowed. SO BASICALLY THIS WAS A SACRILEGE STARTED IN THE NETHERLANDS THAT GOT OUT OF HAND AND THE SPINELESS VATICAN LET IT CONTINUE UNABATED UNTIL THEY COULDN'T STOP IT.... THEN DECIDED TO SAVE FACE BY FORMALIZE IT..... THIS HAS LED TO 70% OF CATHOLICS NOT BELIEVING IN THE REAL PRESENCE OF JESUS IN THE HOLY EUCHARIST
THANK GOD FOR RUclips!!!!!!!! BEING A CATHOLIC MY WHOLE LIFE, I NEVVVVVVER HEARD THESE EXPLANATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😪
I’m a possessed person sometimes I can’t sleep I kiss the crucifix repeatedly and I fall asleep. Also when I kiss the crucifix there’s manifestation
If you believe you are truly possessed, do not play around or delay. Quietly and privately approach your nearest Ferris priest and tell him your concern. Ideally, he will pray with you and counsel you, and if he thinks it is necessary, he will refer you to a priest who is authorized, by the diocesean Bishop, to perform an exorcism.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your video!! I love the explanation of each sacramental given very thoroughly ☝🏼✝️🙏God Bless❤
My pleasure.. God Bless You and your family
@@QuotesofLife0613 😊 thank you
You said all things to be used even a person must be consecrated and ordained, that's true I agree but why the church allowed communion on the hands that the recipient of the Eucharist their hands was not consecrated. Priests through ordination their hands blessed and anointed by the Father and the Holy Spirit, and it is a gift ,a previlage given by Jesus to the ordained priest to Touch his Body in the Eucharist . Only Pope, cardinals , bishops and priest are allowed to touch the sacred species CCC. And no documents coming from Vatican 2 of any Pope allowing and promoting communion on the hands.
Receiving Holy Communion in the hand or on the tongue is a personal choice, not a dogma, and neither is more or less noble. Both methods are legitimate and worthy liturgical disciplines. In the 16th century, receiving communion on the tongue became the universal norm in the Western Church. This was done to prevent consecrated bread particles from falling and desecrating the Eucharist. In the 1960s, several episcopal conferences requested permission from the Holy See to return to giving Communion in the hand. In 1977, the Holy See granted this permission to the United States. Today, the Church instructs that Communion recipients are free to choose their preferred method. What is most important is that the recipient is in a state of grace and desires to be united with Christ. If Communion is received in the hand, the hands should first be clean.
How then is the Eucharistic minister supposed to retrieve the consecrated hosts from the ciborium; levitation by telekinesis?
@@eduardohoover2127it's a sacrilege..... Our Lady said so in Garabandal.... Not everything the Vatican allows is in accordance with God... It was done because of an error
You are correct... Communion in the hand is a sacrilege according to Our Lady at Garabandal..... Not everything the Vatican allows is correct....
Thank you for this, keep it up! Godbless

Vatican II threw Liturgical Music under the bus. Now we have broadway like, pretty little tunes by third rate composers, and played by the local amateur group, using the sanctuary as a stage. We now get little more than a host of social justice pablum, instead of the worshipful hymns we used to have. I have often closed my book and prayed silently, because the hymns and the lyrics are so bad.
Some Lutherans do as well.
It highlights the reality that 1) God became man in history and 2) that God-made-man is literally right there in the tabernacle and will be soon upon the altar! We give reverence because we are declaring faith in His incarnation and real presence here and now. For this reason, it is most appropriate to genuflect at this time. However, the novus ordo has replaced genuflection with bowing during most masses. Genuflection is only preserved for the Annunciation and Christmas solemnities, which most directly celebrate the incarnation. Side note: an almost identical moment occurs during the angelus prayer, with a similar tradition of bowing or genuflecting for the incarnation.
Thank you❤🙏

If you attend a Traditional Mass one kneels at this point in the Creed.
Before V2 we knelt. Many of us still do.
Amen ♥️🙏
Subscribed! 😇
Such a profound reverential act!✝️🕊️📿❤️🙏
We don’t bow, we kneel.
We actually kneel during that portion of the Creed.
I’ve been a catholic all my life and only noticed that we started bowing, (as it has always said to do in our misselet) probably around 10 years ago.
Catholics genuflect at the incarnation, we do not bow.
Thank you Fr Mike for your words about the Sermon on the Mount🙏🏻🕊✝️🕊🙏🏻
👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
Now even the very recitation of the creed is ignored!!
🙏🌹🤲🙏🌹🤲🙏🌹🤲
Because it’s a big deal that God became man, one of us. He humbled Himself because of His tremendous love for His children. He knows and understands our human sufferings, and weakness because God went through all those too. We honor and grateful for God’s love for us. He values us and His creation. That’s also one reason, we frequently pray the Angelus too, all day, it’s because it’s a big deal and almost impossible that God actually is with us. The Immanuel. Glory to God in the highest and peace to man of goodwill.
Why do we now bow instead of genuflect like we used to is a better question. Could it be because the traditional Latin Mass is superior to the Protestant Mass? Hmmmmmmm
As an Episcopalian I still bow as I was taught many years ago even most of our congregation has forgotten to do.
Our Pastor turns towards the statue of Our Lady on the altar and bows - it’s a beautiful reverence.
You Bow as a sign you worship man's tradition over God's tradition.
I instructed the others altar server that we must now do it and they all followed along. Do others parishioners do it? I don’t know, I don’t look at them, I am concentrated in the mass.
It's because the priest just lets things go
We seem to be abandoning the sacredness of the Mass. each little gesture makes us feel more reverent. I attended another Christian church and I noticed a lack in reverence. I hope this doesn’t happen in the Catholic Church
At the TLM we kneel. Because the Credo is sung, we have several seconds to meditate.
Because you have done it for over a thousand years. It is just a ritual with no life in it.
Up until sometime in the 2000s, the entire congregation genuflected during the Creed of the Novus Ordo mass. Now they bow just as if they are meeting the King of England. Who allowed this? Once you water it down, you can't get it back
Respect.
In our parish the priest reminds the congregation to bow and so we all bow
Teach your silly priest that his is sloppy, Catholics genuflect at the incarnation we do not bow.
2:00 - you're welcome
These 2 events propel us to the cross! Wonderful!
Your supposed to bow at I believe (Credo), after Jesus, sign of the Cross after true God of true God, genuflect after He came down from Heaven, bow at the Virgin Mary, stand after- and was made man, bow at the Son, where He is adored and glorified, and then of course you're supposed to offer sign of the Cross after the resurrection of the dead. For the Gloria, bow before- we adore Thee, before We give Thee thanks, at Jesus Christ, after Who takest away the sins of the world and before receive our prayer, of course the sign of the Cross after holy Ghost and before in the Glory of God the Father. Mind you this is for the Traditional Latin Mass. For the other, I guess it just depends on how loud the clown music is playing.
😂
How often do we cross ourself during Mass, bowing, striking our heart, say amen, kneel, stand, sit, sign of peace, etc? Who created those gestures and became part of ritual.
With all due respect, I have been a practicing Catholic for about 30 years, and I've NEVER seen the practice of bowing during the Creed. You would be better to talk abut 'why SOME Catholics bow during the Creed' because, very clearly, the practice is far from universal in the Church.
@@robscoggins I don't know what the Vatican rules say, but in more than 30 years as an observant Catholic, living in both east and west, I have NEVER seen Catholics bow during the Creed. I have no idea what the Vatican says on the topic - I've also been told girls are not supposed to be altar servers, but I've seen a lot of young girls/ladies acting as altar servers. If you study religion, you quickly learn that religions tend to have, shall we say, 'two versions!' One if the official version written down by those in charge - for Catholics this is the Vatican hierarchy's rules for the Mass - and the other is the religion as practiced by the faithful who are not part of a religion's authority structure, but simply, as it were, the rank and file members. This is a good example of those 'two versions.' You tell me the Vatican has rules saying Catholics should bow during the Creed, and I have no trouble believing that is so. However, when faithful Catholics show up for Mass, they ignore that particular rule. FYI - I also have seen many priests who invite ALL in attendance to join in the Eucharist, not just Catholics. I once asked a priest who invited all in attendance to participate why Catholics 'officially' have a closed communion table and he told me "that's just Vatican rules!" So, if you want to talk about ORTHODOXY, by all means the Vatican is the source; if you want to talk about PRAXIS - how people practice the faith - observe the faithful at Mass...-
I have never seen a parish where no one bows. If the priest bows the people will too. I attend the TLM now and the entire congregation kneels.
@@KristynLorraine When I formally studying Scripture (at an accredited Catholic College), I learned that If you study religion, you quickly learn that religions tend to have 'two versions!' One is the official version written down by those in charge - for Catholics, this is the Vatican hierarchy's rules for the Mass - and the other is the religion as practiced by the faithful who are not part of a religion's authority structure, but simply, as it were, the rank and file members of the community who come together to worship. This is part of the 'big tent' nature of Catholicism; the ritual and ceremony is meaningless without the change of heart that motivates most of us to seek God's forgiveness. In the churches I have attended, the priests always invite to people to sit or stand or kneel as they feel able or moved to do so. When I look around during prayer - we all experience distractions - I usually see some people kneeling, others sitting and still others standing, some gazing upwards with arms outstretched. I guess that's because no posture or ritual is meaningful unless one comes to the Lord with a humble and contrite heart. Perhaps that's also why the priests I have known tend to disregard the 'Vatican rules' on a closed communion table. When I ask, I have simply been told that 'Christ did not turn anyone way, and neither do I!' One of the reasons Catholicism is still growing outside the developed world is that its leaders have almost always recognized that, in Jesus' words, ' the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith' are more important that the details or the rituals with which we publicly enact our commitment to the Lord.
