I can't believe that Star Tours is nearing 40 years at Disneyland. The new versions are incredible. I have zero complaint, None. However, the original remains my favorite. Always will be.

Below the frame spoilers, soI’ll put it below the break, but the technique they use to get full body muppet shots is actually pretty cool. Most full body shots require at least three puppeteers, with the principal performer doing the head and left hand, another doing the right hand, and the third doing the legs, similar to Japanese Bunraku style puppetry. The puppeteers usually will put on green body suits, and perform against a green screen, so it can be composited in post. You can actually see this technique in action during the Happy Feet number they did for the live shows!
