Does anyone have any idea how to adapt the measurements for a Cali king? Love this design, btw
I would play anything for one of these. Any way to commission you to make another one for sale? I am VERY serious.
Question... The plastic connector that goes into the joystick (and for me the Brook UP5 Board) where did you get that?
If you're talking about the cable connecting to the joystick itself, it usually comes with the joystick when bought. However if you need to buy one, they are usually 4 or 5 pin connection cables.
Great video guide, my only question is what gauge of wire are you using? The description states 30awg but your link is 22. 22 is a little thick, but way better then working with 30. 30 can be a pain as it's not as flexible. Thank you. Edit: I'm very glad I found this video because for the past few months I've been researching sticks, bought a few, returned them, and finally realized I'm too picky I need to build a stick. However, this whole time researching enclosures, and parts for the build I never looked at stranded wires. I have XP with modding on and off for years, building PC's, etc. So wanted to say thank you again. I guess it's safe to say the gauge is gonna be different then I'm used because it's more flexible?
What is processor?
This is just what I was looking for thank you!!!!
I got the same wire kit from your description. Dose it matter what color wire we use for ground?
Functionally it does not matter but the convention is to use black.
@@blue_bomber_fox5721 I'm gonna use your style of putting the connectors upside down because it dose look better. I LOVE you.
This vid is awesome! Straight forward, no fancy tools, and 100% awesomeness! My bro, what's the size on these quick connectors? I mean, what's the right size to fit a sanwa button? Thank you!
Thank you, the size is .110". There should be a link to the parts I used in the description.
focusattack.com/philmore-110-non-insulated-quick-disconnect-terminal-box-of-100/
@@blue_bomber_fox5721 thanks lot my bro! Never noticed the parts' list on the description haha
Thanks for this! I think this may be the only video on DIY fight stick wiring harnesses.
i seen a few but never a big focus because it was only in diy builds for pico fightboards lol
How do you connect the wires to the plugs. Like the 5 pin plug for the lever? Does that require soldering or? Sorry just we didn't see that and just curious on how it's done since I want to make my own custom arcade stick soon.
Hello, the five pin part that goes to the lever usually comes with the Sanwa sticks. It does not require soldering and I just put a cover over the region to make it match the other wirers.
@@blue_bomber_fox5721 but how do the wires and connector actually connect? Do you just push the wires into the right pin? Or do you need to crimp a pin to the end of the wire to do that etc? Same with wiring all these buttons to the PCB do the wires just get pushed in? If so how do they hold in tight etc etc. Thank you. Noob question I'm sure but I really want to give custom wiring a go
Quick question. Is there a specific sleeving that I should buy?
www.mcmaster.com/9284K612/ This is the one I used
wow bro Im watching this video and realizing I own like 6 of your keycaps lol. Hobbies for sure overlap.
It's a small world, haha
where are the keycaps
Great choice of music
My first try came out looking like hot steaming garbage. My second try was a lot better
How would you go about managing cables if you have the 20 pin connector?
Like this instagram.com/p/B4xtbCRlLod/
Hello sir Can you do a walk-through On how to install the screen and all the electronics inside thanks
Thats beautiful man, nice job!!!
Ty!!
This is neat
How are you! I'm following your project and I'm curious, How could you solve the audio problem? I don't know what kind of speakers to put on it or what part of the raspberry corresponds to the audio. Please could you support me in this part
Thank you for the video. This is exactly what I was needing to see. From your opinion, do you think seven 22 awg stranded cables could fit in a single 1/4th sleeved cable? 7 would be the max I would need.
Yes, I will probably fit. Good luck on your build!
@@blue_bomber_fox5721 TYVM. And thanks again for the upload! Really helpful.
Hi. I saw your instagram post where you installed the brook pcb . Iwas curious on you connected the wires to the top pcb?
Hello, I traced the contacts and found what pins they corresponded to then I created a new wiring harness to those pins. Things that are harder to tell are that I actually cut the PCB in half to fit the usb connector. You can also add the wireless board to make it that much better.
@@blue_bomber_fox5721 Thank you for your response!
Can ask a question? what if the old fighting board. will be replaced by a new fighting board? will it be difficult for you to do that?
It is a bit complicated bc you have to mess with the top PCB if you want the function buttons to work here is a link to where I added a brook fightboard instagram.com/p/B-z_aEWHmbQ/?
That intro animation was annoying af, I hope real arcade cabinets don't have that.

Sega has officially revealed an Astro City Mini.
You're going to break your machine playing MvC2 on there
Exactly what I was looking for!! Nicely done!!
any where i can get the tutorial for the hardware wiring ? thanks
You can find the screen guide here and that shuld also assist with the Pie learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-2-2-pitft-hat-320-240-primary-display-for-raspberry-pi
Hey I am doing a similar project trying to do everything like I'm seeing here. Only thing is I'm not sure if the USB cable I got will work. Its an android charge/data cable and looking at it after it was delivered im not sure if it will work. Anything specific I need to look for in a USB cable to do this mod project? Thanks man. Super inspired by this video!
Any usb Data cable should work or you can just use four wires too. If I was doing this again I would have used the stock cable spliced it and soldered it to the lemo connector to avid messing with the board. Just check the pinouts on the usb and match the colors and you should be fine. www.electroschematics.com/usb-how-things-work/ If you ever feel adveturous and want to do a more advanced mod check this out instagram.com/p/B-z_aEWHmbQ/
@@blue_bomber_fox5721 Thanks so much for the response! I am feeling adventurous thanks to this channel! Curious tho you reccomended the 5 plug lemo below even though this is a 4 plug in the video. Will that still work?
@@mttwstyle Yes, i just recommended the five pin for cost reasons bc the lemo connectors can get a bit expensive.
@@blue_bomber_fox5721 Nice, just have to make sure contacts line up and I should be good. Thanks again! Hope to see another cool project from you someday! The little arcade machines are amazing!
You did such an amazing job! I am inspired to make one now
probably a noob question but the exposed wire doesn't need to actually touch the prongs on your buttons? so as long as they are both in the quick disconnect it still works? just wondering since you have the disconnects upside down
No, as long as the wires touch the quick connects you should be fine. I put them upside down bc I like the look.
Two Sick!
Do you think a Brook UFB would fit here?
FaeriePrincesse instagram.com/p/B-z_aEWHmbQ/?igshid=33qnyengor94 wireless board and battery fits
Well done! Looks real pro!
Hey, which LEMO connector did you use? Link for the LEMO connector is dead
I used one I got off ebay. Here is a new link www.ebay.com/itm/LEMO-Connector-Mated-Pair-EEG-0K-305-Receptacle-FGG-0K-305-Plug-5-Wire/362100811810?hash=item544ee3e822:g:340AAOSwLApZws-t
Awesome video. What size expandable sleeving did you use?
I use 1/4'' Techflex
does anyone got the stl file of the cabinet to print it in 3d ? tks
Amazing Tips THx u !
GOOD♪
Damn thats cool as heck! I wish further in the future there can be legit mini arcades with mvc or blazblue to buy at target or something. I wouldnt mind paying for them
also whats that beat at the end?
The beat is called Zoned Out but I honestly don't remember where I got it from.
great video not many good videos like this on wiring harnesses
I want to put in a brook ufb do you think that's possible this is going to be an awesome mod project
jdestroyer97 Yes it is, and I would recommend a wireless fight board. Here is a link to my brook mod instagram.com/p/Boo6dvPgEpd/?igshid=2gpbovth8kem
Where did you find the artwork/instructions for the games not in the box?
Online, I looked up 3rd strike art then sized it according to the stickers in the box then printed it. After I laminated it with tape and used double sided tape to put it on the cab.
Here is a link to what I used sized for the mini cab. @sellsellsell2000 deserves the credit for the art imgur.com/e4PC4O7
Thank you for the how to video!
Fantastic modification and nice video editing!! 👍
How much can you sell me a same mod?
Hmm! Thanks! Now you've got me wondering if anybody sells scale model DDR cabs and ID3 cabs.
original panel controls are very very expensive
