Guilt and Shame: What's the Actual Difference?
I just started trying this this morning and it works for now at least! I didn't know this was a thing until I tried it and tried to find videos like this online. I imagine myself defying and standing up to a dark force that is trying to harm me. Every positive thing I do for myself is an act of defiance and an attack against the darkness that wants to consume me. I'm done playing defense full time; time to play offense! Thank you for this video! ❤
A combination of 1 and 3
5 lol
I have a free therapist at school and they be doing silent wave
nah instead of saying it like a normal person, just randomly give weird as ques. Disrespectful af
Makes perfect sense.❤
What about bwrt therapy? Is that okay for a Catholic? Thanks again for the most knowledgeable video I have found!!
I'm not familiar with bwrt, what is that? I'm so glad the video was helpful!!
yawning should literally get you fired lol
I like the calendar
mine says “is there anything else you would like to talk about today?”
Maybe feel worse than before 😅
I dont get it
She is recommending an approach from both a psychological and spiritual mindset as opposed to medicating
No way… I never do the yawn. I’m all about setting the boundary of “times up” but I’d rather just outright say that than yawn.
Body disruption but my fave is grabbing the calendar
Dude, but my therapist just does is I like she checks her watch I know it’s time and she’ll give me like a look and then we’ll both stand up and I’ll be like all right thank you
My therapist says,"As our time is almost up, I would like to give you the following tools to use this week". Then she gives me helpful suggestions to write down in my "therapy notebook" so I can review during the coming week. (I also write down questions that come up so I remember to ask.)
Loll I always know when my therapist is subtly like “time to get out” when she stands up 😂 otherwise I would go on forever.
I think i might need therapy since Well.. i’ve been dealing with depression and anxiety ALOT & I’m tbh to scared to ask my parents- Does anyone have any tips? i’m only 9 so I dont really know what to do.
Just curious, if free will gets stripped from us because of evolution (e.g., govt), how does this affect the God's free will he promised to us?
There is barely any information out there on why God would allow people to have mental illness. I think it’s an issue that has to be threshed out for each individual. A therapist cannot fathom the depths that some of us have been to. The complicated Web of mental confusion that gets you there and you live in and you must find a way out. You do not know this, you very apparently do not know this kind of pain. I would suggest you don’t talk about things you have not been through, you’re Trying to heal people without any kind of personal understanding of what it’s like. There are no tools you can buy to fix it. Take your disposition with you on your way to the nail salon work out your own salvation.
My therapist either pulled out a Calendar or pulled out her laptop to print out helpful resources I can use until her next visit. It was a “soft close” that I appreciated. Of course I caught her making subtle glances towards the clock every now and then, but that was just to keep track of time.
LOL
Therapist are part of the problem in this country they make sure they keep people behind in life true story for all people
Imagine telling your therapist about all your personal issues and trauma and stuff you have a lot of trouble admitting and then they yawn or check their watch
The body adjustment seems like a midwestern way to wrap things up. You slap your knees stand up and say wellll, look like its getting late.
Which professional use yawning as a way to communicate?
Mine pulls up her calendar on her laptop but she won’t stand up until I do
I’ve just began seeing a therapist after not seeing any for years. I tried to do it on my own. Didn’t quite do the trick. Still don’t know what will come of my therapy, but I obviously needed to try. It’s disheartening for people to see comments how it’s useless and negative things. What if it’s their last hope? What if it prevents suicide?
Ive be very offended by a yawn to tell the session is ending! Feel almost like we don't matter and we are boring her or him!! My therapist yawn one time 10 mins in but told me it was because of a new medication she was taking for her thyroid, and she apologized so i wasn't offended
Yes thyroid medicine make you feel sleepy
for my therapist it's 4 haha
Hi there, is there any way you could help me?, please, lately my life fells unbearable and don’t like my thoughts, I’m scared of them but i don’t know how to make them stop, I’m desperate 😭 I’m really am and i really meed help
Pulling out the calendar is a great idea, no? 😂 I’m a counselor trainee still and sometimes I have the hardest time ending sessions on time. People often get more comfortable at the end of session and go deeper or …just drop a bomb when session is over in 5 minutes.
Thanks!
This is why I'm happy i beat my depression without ever needing to see a therapist.
How did u do that? and btw who told you had depression, a psychiatrist?
I just experienced a miscarriage..was crying while looking at my body feeling the empty womb and breasts..I cried out to Jesus about how I'm feeling and just typed miscarriage and shame and found you. Thank you sister for covering this topic as a believer.
All true except i would add in crying.
Help I need help no one listens
The-rapist.
Do you think it is possible for someone with generalized anxiety or Asperger's syndrome [both things I've been diagnosed with] to have scrupulosity? Because I am about convinced that that is what is going on with me.
I’ve come and sat next to them before until they are ready. Different approaches for different clients
I’ve never done the yawn to end a session. Some of the others I’ve done.
I think God is calling me. I think this mental illness I have is for a purpose. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia and when I have episodes of schizophrenia, I get auditory hallucinations most of the time.
The calendar
You just saved my life
Wow! You must have been guided by God to watch :) blessings to you!
Great video, I have ptsd from work,
Be careful what you tell a therapist. Especially thoughts of suicide. They can force you into an asylum. This goes on your permanent health record which can prevent you from getting certain jobs, higher insurance rates and so on. So consider carefully what you tell these people
Thanks
Therapy won’t do shite chill tf out and do shit
I dont get it
Great, interesting, and insightful
