I've really enjoyed traveling along with you this morning. I'm coming to Green County this summer to trace some of the old road traveled by my 3great grandfather, Jacob Carter, who left there for SW Missouri in 1849. He would have travel the Trail of Tears along most of the way, and stopped short of Oklahoma Territory by about 18 miles. Thanks for the inspiration!!!
My favourite version 🔥🇮🇪
Thank you
Outstanding version! Your voices are so soft and smooth. Love it! Well done.
Please anyone - can you give me a text from this beautiful song? I understand, but little and I wanna know, what is singing in this cover.

This is the best cover of this song I've ever heard 🥰🇮🇪 I love it so much that it has inspired me to do a painting using the irish colours of the flag, ive used this song in the time lapse video and credited Eanair 😊 ruclips.net/video/UdD1xvzBdDU/видео.html

Good to know!! Thanks!
Thanks for posting this, Ms. Hayes-My family bred beagles in Tennessee for a number of years before I became an "out-of-stater". This video of the pups running the long-ears was like a miniature trip down memory lane!
Oh, Ms Hayes this makes an exiled Fall Branch, TN boy so homesick! Thanks for posting this-love the images in the video and the song as well!
This comment makes me feel happy :)
Mary Catherine Hayes in Tennessee: found this post about a year ago and was so rude I didn't even hit like, subscribe, or comment. I have 'fixed' that oversight today-After listening MANY times, it has replaced my former favorite version from The Irish Rovers (I have had that record since 1971). As a Fall Branch (north and east of Knoxville), Tennessee boy who has been exiled to another, lesser, state I am thrilled that a Tennessee woman with a lovely voice sings this arrangement. Kudos to all members of Eanair!
Thanks so much! It thrills me that you enjoy it!
I live very close to Fall Branch in east Tennessee!! Very small world... :)
m.m
this version taught me how to sing this song with my girls voice, thank you so much
This is a great compliment! Thanks!!
Best version of this song. I just love it

Does Martin have a hole in his jeans at the right knee? :-)
Herve Cantal's tune !
Great video! Wish we weren't so far away from the next Tune Junkie Weekend!
Very nice Mary...
I learned this song playing with British ex-patriots in Saudi Arabia in the late 70's. I am from the US and the high point of each week was Friday night (actually Wednesday night) when we would get together to drink and play mainly British folk songs, old broadsides, etc. Great times with great people. I heard some of the best singing I will ever hear. God bless the Scotsman, Bob Gilbert who could sing any of 100 songs each night we played together. I still remember the broadside describing the death of General Wolfe in Montreal. Beware of them pretty Colleens!
roundmidnightsuttree Great story! Thanks for sharing, and listening :)
roundmidnightsuttree it's not a brit song you fuckin hun lover
Operations X Gaming: So you aren't aware that it is a young Irish man who was tried and sentenced in a British court, as they ruled the 'fair Isle' for many years. The song is sung in both places for that reason, as well as being loved in much of the world. There are more people of Irish descent in America, thanks to the Diaspora of the famines, than remain in Ireland today, by the way.To conclude someone is a 'hun lover' because you don't know these facts is truly prejudicial-and sad. Enjoy, the song, don't condemn someone you don't know!
@@Amp389lanG The 'Black Velvet Band' is a late 1700's English song and the original broadside ballads from that time don't mention Belfast but Barking in Essex. The version in the video is simply an Irish take on the original.
