Yea a lot of vehicles carry the same filter housing style… amazon has a oil filter socket set for like $20 There like extra shallow sockets I’m sure parts store have them by now i bought mine like 3 years ago

@@NorthCountrySouthCity yeah I bought mine off Amazon. Just annoying when every other car I’ve owned uses a filter in the engine compartment I can usually hand unscrew.

the motor is ok but the 6speed transmissions behind the 4.3 and 5.3 in that time period are known to have problems but the 5.3s did have a option to come with the 8speed transmission i’m not sure what the aftermarket support looks like for the 6speed but who knows there could be a fix for there know issue.

@@faffoui you need to Properly diagnose the issue . That way you’re not spending money throwing parts at it. If there’s engine codes, look up the codes research the Internet there’s somebody out there that has had the same issue. If it gives you a code, make sure you check wires for damage, check for power and ground at whatever sensor is faulty

You don’t need a lift you just need to lift it high enough on jackstands then use your jack to support the radiator support

@@sonniali5241 good deal. There’s nothing to them really… all engines are just Legos that are held down by nuts and bolts. @@alainairving9946 look straight down from the coolant reservoir on tranny you’re going to need a oil funnel with a hose attached on it to reach the fill hole Finish remember to put back in what you take out

@@aaronrowe8366 if you hooked your battery up backwards, you need to replace the main fuse under the hood just look up main fuse location for your year make and model on whatever search engine you use… You will have to order the main fuse…dealer, amazon, ebay etc They will not be at your local parts store, but you might get lucky. Look for other regular blown fuses in both fuse boxes and they’re definitely will be at least three blown fuses between the two boxes. Replace the black box under the radio you should be able to find one at the junkyard. Manually put the car in neutral take the center console out and find it back there. You can feel it more than you can see it but it’s there held in with maybe one or two nut 8 or 10 mm after that hook your battery up correctly and you’ll be good to go
