if the game is not rendering it for you then yes you dove to your death... its ok happens to the best of us.. i dont go running into my freighter anymore because of losing a permadeath this way.. if the floor is not rendering, then its non existing. Next time you know to just leave and try again

This is possible because New Loka is buddies with the Perrin Sequence, but only have a 50% loss with Steel Meridian. If you switch to Red Veil as your main faction, you can level up both RV and SM without losing any standing on NL or PS
