Man risks his life to get a closer look at a West Bay rockfall
Просмотров 21 тыс.11 месяцев назад
The following day after Storm Ciaran, a man almost gets cut off by the waves after getting a closer look at the rockfall that took place overnight. The Jurassic Coast Trust recommends walking at least the height of the cliff away from the base of the cliff as the rockfalls are sudden, can happen at any time or day/night or time of year and often project far out onto the beach and into the sea. ...

Breath-taking drone timelapse of a fog waterfall on the Dorset coast

Two timelapse videos showing the fog I captured, flowing off the cliffs at West Bay in Dorset on an October morning in 2016. The original regular speed video is also posted on my channel, but the timelapse helps to show the phenomenon and the waterfall of fog effect that it created. This is totally unique and hasn't happened again since. It occurred due to a temperature inversion, where warm ai...
Incredible fog waterfall phenomenon on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset
Просмотров 253Год назад
Early morning fog rolls off the vertical sandstone cliffs at West Bay in Dorset, UK and drops straight onto the beach below and out to sea. I captured this unique phenomenon in late October in 2016 with a drone. I had never seen this happen before and it hasn't happened again since! I believe this occurred due to a form of temperature inversion. This can happen in areas of high pressure where a...

Well, we walked past this place on Wednesday 15th November and it appears to be totally trashed, inside and out. There's a skip outside with what looks like most of the kitchen in it plus a couch and a load of expensive looking tiles, most of what's in there is unidentifiable though as it's been smashed to matchwood. The cafe is still OK, and was untouched.

They did a good job constructing that wall 800 years ago. THAT doesn't need rebuilding every few years. Note how it's designed with the top sloping to seaward so that waves breaking over it return to the sea
