They could've made the open world decent, but this game was given to a team that clearly didn't give a damn. I mean, you can speak to certain characters a second time and they might talk with a different voice from the one they had. Literally uses the same engine as Crash Twinsanity...The physics are weirdly fun to screw around with, though, especially when playing as Baby (another glitchy set of coding makes him faster.) The random "GO" clips you hear at the start of each level are all outtakes from Monkey Ball 1, and of all the music tracks from it, they didn't reuse the Storm theme...Shame on them. I understand them not using Master Mode's music, but still. And for some reason, the PSP port was when they decided to add in an additional Party Game where you compete with cards found throughout Story Mode, as well as additional lore and unused stages. Oh, and I kid you not: the white font was labelled "shitfuck" by the developers themselves. I'd bring back Monkey Bounce and the crack-fuelled version of Race Mode this game has...maybe the Cannon "break down your opponent's tower" party game as well. Yeah, at this point I'm just leaving you with info dumps about specific games in the series cuz I'm a bit of a veteran. Don't mind me. :P

I think they overcompensated for this remake using analog controls by making the bosses hit way harder and removing rails that made certain levels in World 6 and 7 way harder than necessary. Also, would you believe the Wii version had an FPS mini game? It was weirdly decent.

I can confirm that you can skip credits in this game by holding A for 4 seconds after your first viewing, but they should really tell you that...I do find it interesting, though, that this game uses some songs with Japanese and French lyrics. But yeah, Step & Roll was definitely made for the Balance Board specifically, even though that removes the stone obstacles. Co-op is kinda fun too, 'cause you can shoot the obstacles. 3D isn't the most memorable besides having good visuals and audio, plus it introduces Jet the martial artist...Banana Rumble, the new one, is pretty great though for a return to form of sorts.

Finally some Sun and Moon respect. Gen 7 as a whole gets so much hate, I agree USUM we’re scummy. But that doesn’t change the fact that they might be the most content filled games in the entire franchise.
