Yea, it's not an exact science. That's why I say to hit several shots before making adjustments. Since it's the beginner level, all your trying to do is get it to where you can be somewhat consistent. My assumption here is that you're tuning for the first time or early in your tenure with the game. All we're trying to do at this point is tune it to where your normal shot isn't shooting way out to the side a lot or fading/drawing a ton. You're right, if there was a way to dial it in to where the shot went the same every time, you'd be like 22 under ever round. If you can get it tuned to where you have a 10-yard or so spread on your shots (which isn't too hard with the shorter irons for sure), you'll have a much better time. As you play more, you'll continue to make slight adjustments. For example, after about 10-15 rounds, I noticed with my 6-iron, I was hitting it left of my aim 90% of the time. So I went in and knocked it down 5% on the left bias. I've done this with all my clubs over time and I'm still doing it. After hundreds of rounds, I still make a few % adjustments here and there with certain clubs to get it dialed in. But I don't base it on one shot, it's usually based on a lot of shots over time and slow adjustments until i'm happy with it. I feel like my 8-iron through wedges are pretty well tuned, but the longer clubs, I'm still tinkering with. It's a process. I hope that helps.

I'm playing Golf+ over a year now, and always using Pro diff, so I can hopefully learn from my mistakes and score better than 16 over per round, in overal. After some adjustments, and some practice today to adjust my targeting, I ended first round at +7 in the tournament main event for this week (Dubai course). It's a serious step up from previous +16 and even worse than that (could go up to +22). Thanks!

@@Pe11ePD All good. If you are playing Pro, this video is probably too beginner for you. It's still important to tune though, but you're probably at the point where you want to tune based on your play in rounds over time. I play pro as well. I'm around a +8 hcp in Pro right now (134 total rounds so far). One of these days, I'll probably switch exclusively to Pro, but for now, I enjoy playing both Amateur and Pro.

I think it's actually pretty slick. Pretty true to life as far as I can tell. It's a completely different game than what you played a few years ago.

I do use an adapter (Yezro). I do not do a full swing. I use the Q3 with stock controllers, so a full swing isn't possible. If I did, tracking would be an issue. I'd recommend tuning your clubs. If you're always fading, adjust your bias in the settings until your normal swing no longer fades.

I feel you! It can be frustrating. I cut out some of my wondering around trying to figure out what to do next, so you're not alone.

I played the daily today. I didn't have the big flashing problem or a drasticly short shot today. The tracking was still off though. I had a fair amount of shots out to the right. My wedges from a flat lie were shooting out 20ft to the right several times and that rarely happens. Never 6-7 times in a round. so better, but still off.

Yea, it was fine the few days after the last golf+ update. It started happening only a few days ago. On a side note, I just played the daily today, and I didn't get that major issue at all, but the tracking wasn't quite right. I'm not saying every shot I hit is perfect, but on a flat lie, I don't hit the ball 20 feet to the right with a wedge and that happened several times on me today, so tracking still isn't quite right yet.

Yea, I've had it a little too lately, but it hasn't been as bad as in the past. I've seen a lot of reports of it in the discord as well.

Only a little bit. I don't use the draw or fade pieces of it because I've gotten good enough to hit the fade/draw with just my swing. The only thing I use it for is to align the line on my ball and hit the cccassional high shot so some the long irons stop a little better coming into the greens. Keep in mind that it only provides a little assistance. You still have to put a good swing on it. For example, if you move it over to hit a draw, but still swing out to in with an open club face, it's still going to fade, maybe just not quite as much. Or if you say hit it high, but you come in steep with the ball in the middle or the back of your stance, it's not going to go very high.

Yea, that's why I got the Golf Pass. When you release almost 2 courses a month, it's way cheaper than buying them individually.

Sounds like it. I love how they technically have paths, stairs, bridges, and stuff like we'd ever actually walk a course like that :)

Yea, on some settings, they are extremely difficult. You really do have to play them differently than other courses.

Yea, that happens. I've found after a few range sessions, it will come back. It's certainly not permanent. Also, keep a spare club handy. Whenever you play, pick up a real club and do some swings until it feels comfortable and not heavy anymore. It can be tedious to do that after every time you play, but if you do, any problems can usually be worked out with a single range session or on the range before you play.

@@maeu59 Yes, I use the Yezro. The weighted part of it I found to be worse for me, so I took the weights off. Seems to "delay" the problem some, at least for me.

I agree. It's certainly not the hardest course out there (although there are some holes where you can get into serious trouble if you aren't careful), but it's beautiful!

If they are shortening on you, they are too long. It hasn't happened in a while, but I've seen situations where they look longer, but choosing another club and then re-choosing the original club, fixes it. you shouldn't have to "lock it in".

It definitely does. The only way to combat is to swing a real golf club regularly to keep the feel. Otherwise, it will take multiple range sessions to get it back. But it's too awesome not to risk in my opinion.

Keep at it. When I was at a month in, I was about the same. Not even a + hcp yet. The more you play, the better you'll get. Just get your clubs tuned correctly and always be open to tweaking them as you go along and you'll be fine. As far as equipment upgrades, they are mostly cosmetic. They only changes are some drivers are 5 yards longer, so get one of those. The other piece is the wedges. I traded my 3-wood for an extra wedge. The wedges can be varying distances so pick the ones rigt for your game. If they ever let us trade in irons, I'll be getting my 3-wood back and dumping the 3-iron (least used club in my bag). There is no easy setting for putting :). However, a little luck never hurts either. I had no expectation of making that putt, but every now and then I do. The more I play, the more often I do stuff like that though.

Just hit the meta button your controller. Then in the bottom left one of the icons is record. You can record without or without a mic.

The match is in the safe in the same room as the furnace. One of the clues at the top of the clock tower contains the code to the safe on the left hand side.

@@TheCasualGolfPluser yes I already got the code and I opened the safe. There isn’t a match in there. That’s why I was wondering if I need to go through the mechanical age first. Or am I missing something else?

@@Alaskaraised Ok, so yea, sorry maybe bad wording with "match". It's an ignite button that lights the furnace. Then you turn the furnace wheel and wait until you stop hearing the sound. Then you turn it all the way back off, then run outside to the tree and it will be descending. Then you hop in and ride it down. There are no prerequisites to that.

Yea, it was the daily tournament. I put al the eagles in as shorts, but I've got plenty from the back/hard positions too! I don't really like the daily's when they are super easy conditions, I prefer the harder ones so it tests skills a little better.

I do play both Amateur and Pro. I play amateur in the golf+ tournaments for one main reason. I built this channel to help newer players because I couldn't find any good content for beginners. There are some out there who play pro and I found their content didn't translate very well to me when I was a beginner. So I decided to help those folks out as I got better. I carry about a +6 to +7 hcp as a pro on averag and I am in a couple of discord groups where I play in pro tournaments.

Yea, that was the highlight for sure. It's definitely more common in a game than IRL, but still pretty rare. In the golf course's defense, it was only an 8-iron :).
