I'm thinking about getting these La bella strings for my P-bass since it sounds too bright especially with the Steve Harris SPB-4 pickups lol.

Love the way the La Bellas sound. Just ordered a set for my P Bass. More expensive than rounds but well worth it.

My 2004 wenge necked thumb is my number #1 goto bass - I love that neck.

There is some serious neck buzz going on there , sloppy playing or it needs a set up.

Mine is Thumb BO 4, with its serial number of 402, 1994 model. It has BEAUTIFUL wenge neck and walnut(!) body. I saw several other thumbs for 5 string candidates but no neck can satisfy me any longer. Need to pay more for Wenge neck!!!

This bass has incomparably superlative ergonomics and is wonderfully versatile sonically. I'm glad that @gerloux didn't need a $5000 bass with an overhyped reputation, because I really did. No matter how well you play, a phenomenally engineered and executed design only makes you sound even more musical and the playing more enjoyable! There is no struggling with the instrument to take it where you wish it to go. No wonder Dingwall has such a high desirability that you can't find these 6 string Z3's available anywhere!!! There is no where to go for better than this.

Great playing demo and the bass sounds awesome. Very clear, and articulate with beefy lows. The Super Fattys are one of the best-sounding p'ups Dingwall makes. Lots of bottom, and low mids. My faves were the FD1s which were very short-lived and found on the 2002 Afterburners.

It's cell phone audio but it's still one of the best Dingwall tone demos I've ever heard. Your clean plucking and fretting really shows off the variety of tones this bass can do. Some other channels don't do the instruments any favours with buzzing frets, sloppy slapping and picks that scrape more than pluck. This has really got me thinking about swapping my FDV pickups for Super Fatty II's.

Thanks so much for this video. Perhaps being new to the bass, thus lack of experience, I was overwhelmed with anxiety when deciding to replace the strings on my Squier Sonic Precision Bass to these La Bellas - especially with strings that cost 25% of the entire bass! Coupled with the fear that the resulting sound wasn't what I hear in my head, I let the new La Bella 760FS strings sit, uninstalled, for 3 days. Watching this video multiple times assured me that the strings would fit the Squier Sonic and that I should just go for it. So I did. It is exactly the sound I hear in my head. I know the old school folks will give me a hard time for my naivete, but I just don't have $40 to toss in the trash if I mess up. This video boosted my confidence on so many levels. Thanks again.

Great video on this tuner. Well explained and very helpful. The instructions leave out a couple of things. I've had mine for a while and have had no issues with it

Trying to decide between the original run and the new version, both due to price considerations and because I’m not a huge fan of roasted maple. But the upgrades are pretty compelling otherwise.

Boy, did those flats ever kill that Spector tone. I think you could put those flats on a really cheapie bass and get about the same sound out of it.

All other things equal (except that fretboard), I'm really surprised at the difference in tone between the neck-through and the bolt-on. I'm definitely a fan of the former. Nice playing, btw.
