Thanks for the advice to use blowtorch. I thought my leg was seized inside on the drive shaft, I tried tons of releasing lubricant, hung it upside down and hit it hard but nothing budged. Even hammering wedges into the join did nothing. As you suggested I just tried a blowtorch on the stud at the bottom and hit it REALLY HARD and it is now opened! What a relief. Thanks again for your useful advice about steel bolts in aluminium castings. (I just broke a tiny bit off the upper fin because my hammer missed the wood block but no big deal I don’t think that bit matters.)

Amigo buenos días saludos desde Colombia, tengo un motor fuera de borda Yamaha 25 y me gustaría que me asesores para ver qué elice le debo colocar al motor para que trabaje mejor ya que la que tiene es una elice paso 9 y siento que no funciona bien, el motor lo uso en una Canoa de 13 metros y hace 20 pasajeros por favor ayúdeme es que el motor lo compré de segunda mano y soy un poco inexperto en cosas de motores fuera de borda

Do you ever run into a problem where that nut is tighter than that because that was hand tight

The nut has to be tighten up with a torque wrench to specs as per manual, manual tightening … not sure about that!🤭
