    Hi what does the yoga block do?

      Great question! The yoga block helps to put the hip into extension and puts the hip flexors on more stretch. This is similar to the standing stretch where you grab your foot and to get more stretch push your hip forward. This is very effective for people who have trouble relaxing enough in the standing stretch to get a good stretch out of the hip flexors. This stretch gets both the psoas which crosses just the hip and the quad which crosses the hip and knee. When you bend the knee in this position you intensify the stretch through the quad. I like this stretch overall for the hip flexors because in lying you can relax the leg and breathe into the stretch. Thanks for the question!

    How do these differ from Burpees?

      Squat thrusts and burpees are the same movement except burpees are supposed to have the pushup after the plank position. People use the names interchangeably. I separated them because I have clients who are ready for the movement but not the push-up part. Thanks for watching!
