It was about 1977 on the campus of Oklahoma University when I first heard this. Of course them football players had the best audiophile systems in their rooms. And they had the new cars to ride in and every evening after chow, me and one the guys on injured reserve would ride out in his new Cutlaus. George was a popular man along with George Clinton, EWF, Ohio Players, and don’t forget Lakeside, and BT Express. Those were the good days. No telling where everybody at, but what good times.
