I’m not talking about Abominations vision. I’m talking about the retrospect of Docs vision .. Why would the writer then have the little Russian girl confirm that the Hulk or type of Hulk was Red? Why did the artist draw the exact to the tee same style Hulk as Red Hulk with GLOWING EYES and a GOLD GUN , just w/o the Red skin tone color ? Because like you said he was in docs vision, but why is it the same EXACT drawn Hulk? All Hulk’s look different no matter what the skin tone is. It’s Ross’s Red Hulk.. Then ask yourself, (based on your theory) if that HULK in issue 1 is not red hulk, then.. wtf does the writer mean in issue 2 when New Abomination refers back to the events in issue 1 (where the old abomination dies ) and says ‘RED HULK KILLED OLD ABOMINATION’? If your theory stands, then that makes no sense.. The Russian girl confirming the Hulk in issue 1 was Red. Why say that if that isn’t the red hulk and or the writer is telling us that is his new character Ross Red Hulk.

@@sspecmedia his reference to issue one is him recalling event s that actually do happen. He wasn't in Doc's head though. He is just stating the facts. That does not change the fact that what we see in issue 1 is only Doc's idea of what happened.

Appreciate you stopping by.. I remember the article you wrote during the Pandemic about it and for a LONG TIME, I felt the same.. Until I went back and reread it , analyzed and then read some of the later issues in the run.. The Artist drew Thaddeus Ross's Hulk.. The ONLY difference is he is green rather than red. Then, later in the story, the little Russian girl confirms he (The Hulk) was Red... So right there is a retrospect for me as a reader to say, 'OK that is the Writer confirming that it's the same HULK as on this cover aka Red Hulk'.. Based on your theory, my dude.. How in the heck does DOC know or is visualizing the SAME EXACT HULK (minus the red skin) rather than Bruce Banners HULK and/ or Rick Jones's alter ego?.. Plus to add even more context to the confirmation that the Mystery 'HULK' in the visions in issue #1 is Thaddeus Ross's RED HULK, (I believe in issue #2) the resurrected or new Abomination clearly says in the dialogue bubble [Red Man kill Abomination] speaking on the fact Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross's Red Hulk killed Abomination in issue #1.. I totally get where you're coming from and you have valid points, Topher🫡.. I just think if I cannot see or hear better evidence than what is shown here in this video and talked about in this reply, then IDK.. Appreciate you, Brother!!!

@@sspecmedia good to discuss this stuff. It is what makes comics fun! I think the problem really is an editorial one here. I suspect the script was not reviewed well because there is no omniscient narration in the captioned panels of issue 1. In context that is not the Red Hulk. Abomination can indeed confirm that the Hulk was red but that does not change the fact that what is shown in issue 1 is another man's idea of what happened and because he had no idea there was a Red Hulk that idea of him cannot be a red one.

@@tophers336 Totally Agree! 🫡 .. When you get a chance, give Hulk #4, #6 & Hulk #23 Vol 2 (2010) a read. It is the Origin of RH. It reveals after the events of WWH when Banner came back to earth and was neutralized, MODOK, Leader , and Doc (Doc is under MODOK's mind control) were the ones that convinced Ross to become the Red Hulk and were the scientists who contracted Banners gamma radiation from his body before the events in Hulk #1 vol 2 2008 (Chronological timeline).. This origin confirms that Doc knew the whole time who the Mystery Hulk in issue 1 of vol 2.. Hence why during his flashback's you speak of, Doc knew exactly who this 'HULK' in question was.. It confirms that Hulk in issue #1 is Ross Red Hulk , per your sharp theory.. 💥💪💥

​@@sspecmedia OK so in the origin from 23 they show the panel from Hulk 1 ( 2008 ) and the Hulk is red. this makes sense because Ross is telling the story. The reason the panel is Green is because we are inside Doc's mind and to him he has no idea what color the Hulk is. Yes Doc was controlled by MODOK but he has a duel identity, one good and one bad. Clearly in the moment we are discussing, Doc is the good persona as shown by the green panel. If not the panel would be red no and we could later surmise that he was lying. I think your argument is actually proving my point here. Comics use the panels to tell the story just as much as the dialogue and I found it really strange that any editor would have screwed it up this bad. It is certainly possible that the good Samson is actually working the case at the start of issue 1. I went on and reread every issue up until 30 and I am not seeing anything there that states or shows that the good side of Doc was lying in the moments we are discussing.

​@@tophers336 The Origin on how M.O.D.O.K. placed Doc under mind control which caused a split personality with the powerless Leonard who was defined as the good one and an evil Samson on the other , which was the reason Doc knew what HULK looked like proor to the investigation in issue 1. It's in there or one of the 1k+ tie-ins to this story lol. . I'll take another look at it later when I get home from the gym..

This honestly could join Wolverine, and Gambit in the 1st Appearance/1st Full Appearance argument, does the last page of 180 count as a 1st, is Gambit's dialogue in the annual substantive enough to be a full, timeline and all? But Yelena Belovas "1st Appearance" is equally as debatable with that Inhumans book in a similar scenario because her face is obscured, in the same sense that Red Hulk himself, and his surroundings are obscured by a veil of green, also people argue that a cover is a 1st appearance too. I owned #1 at one point, I still have the rare Daily Bugle Red Hulk preview edition, which was always slept on entirely(not sure so much anymore) and I own a copy of #2 as well. But essentially it comes down to what buyers are investing their money in the most, and somewhat of course how grading companies reflect their opinion on the matter with label descriptions, which hardly ever change even with glaring evidence brought forward. Killer Croc comes to mind for me when debating cases like this, these arguments are honestly the biggest headache for comic collectors as a whole, that's why bringing up a debatable 1st argument can be so divisive. But February is a while from now, so #1 will fluctuate in price, and the FOMO of the moment can always be countered with a good sense of patience.
