    Can you do on how to clean it? The dust is sticky on the portable radiator, dusting alone and wiping it doesn't do much cleaning. I practically had to scrub it. Is there is easier way to clean it?

    They are filled with "Diathermic Oil": These type of heaters use highly refined mineral oils, which evenly fill the outer fins of the radiator as the oil is heated, so even when the heater is turned off, the fins retain heat longer to transfer into the air.

    I bought a 13 fins oil filled radiator. Even after ten plus hours of switching on, the room doesn't seem to be heated properly. Is that normal for radiators?

    Manufacturers know how long these last which is why they put cheap switches in the safety mechanism that disengages the electric if the heater falls over. I have fixed many with this problem

    I have a ceramic heater I bought years ago. It takes a while to heat up the room but oh boy it does a great job. But I hear the infrared heaters are so good so testing it out now. My temperature gauge says 72 but the heater says 76 so that’s weird. It feels cooler from the blower. So we will see.

      @@jesuscorrea5513 We run two of the 1500w Pelonis here. about 900sq feet. One at each end of our place. it got down to 6degrees F, and they kept the place really warm. If I turn off the fans, yeah, it cant keep it warm, too much space and no moving air. The fan is key, if you ask me.

    I bought two this winter. Within the first week, one of them started leaking oil. I can't figure a way to fix it without draining it, and there is no way to do that without tearing it apart. My electric bill went way up when I was using them, too. They can draw some serious electricity.

    • @knowtheflo
      @knowtheflo Год назад

      Hello! Oh no, that's unfortunate. The best thing to do is to return and exchange it, because trying to retrieve the switch yourself is not a good idea. And that is obviously a faulty heater, because switch should stay firmly in place no matter how many times you on/off it..All the best!

    • @3-2-1-.
      @3-2-1-. Год назад

      Try another outlet that isn't on the same circuit as the one that keeps tripping the breakers. These things can draw a lot of electricity, and if there is something else on the circuit, it might be just enough to make the breaker trip.

    In Los Angeles, the price of Natural Gas tripled, I am using an oil heater, haven't got the bill yet, but I hooked it up to a Kill-A-Watt which is setup to my local KWH rates, doesn't look too bad. Will be cheaper than natural gas, but can only heat up one room at a time.
