Yeah I'm not gonna lie I haven't really played the game in a while now nor have I had a desire to. Its nothing against the game I just got bored of it after playing for four years straight I guess.

It is different from the German one, it is essentially the same as the German G-10, because it has the same high-altitude tuned engine.

@@Cloud4907 I guess so... it isn't really that relevant of a performance boost however as the shorter matches due to ticket bleed make fighting at high altitudes obsolete. In my opinion, if you wanted to play a late 109 just play either the G-6 or the K-4.

That’s part of it, but there are some other things you should know about it. On the deck, it’s very fast and climbs very well, turning decently too. But where it really shines is in the fact that it has extremely good altitude performance, and will lose practically no performance at any altitude you’d realistically reach in an air battle Much better alt performance than a Bf 109 in fact, and better alt performance than even a P-47. So superior performance to other fighters at high alt is a big part of it. But another very big part of it is as follows: At low speeds (below 200 km/h), most propellers on prop fighters begin to lose efficiency (they might only be able to deliver 70% of the power that the engine is delivering for example), but the I-225 is one of those planes, alongside the J2M2, that has a propellor that remains efficient at very low speeds. This means that during dogfights, you can go vertical in situations where the other fighter simply can’t due to its lower power. You can see this in action in his dogfight with the G.55 (4:45) and the final Fw 190 A (6:30) The very good low speed power also means that you can realistically put your Landing flaps down at speeds that are so low that the energy bleed they cause won’t matter, due to minimal drag. It’s also the reason why it takes off the runway like a rocket plane (set video playback speed to 0.5 to counteract the 2 x speed-up) at 10:39. Compare the takeoff to a Bf 109 G, for example. So in summary: * Climb well * Energy fight when appropriate * Understand that it has much better alt performance than all of your enemies, and take that into account when making decisions * Dogfight using low speed power and landing flaps

He showed three matches that demonstrates that the plane doesn't suck. Half of the issue is also the pilot...a good pilot will exploit the strengths of this plane. A bad pilot will not. You might be in that latter category if you keep insisting that the plane sucks. Look at the footage. When he's extending away at lower altitudes, no one can catch him. Just as @bzorf5984 stated, it's a monster down low.
