Dave Beegle, Somewhere I have the original demo of you with the TransPerformance guitar from 1990 on VHS tape. Neil asked me a few years ago to find it and get it back to him as he said "I don't even have a copy of that" I shall look for it...Matt McGaha aka KB6MAT
YES YOU DID. AS A MATTER OF FACT HE WAS THE FIRST GUITAR PLAYER TO HAVE ONE AS HIS BUDDY DESIGNED IT. JIMMY PAGE WAS THE SECOND AND JOE PERRY WAS THE THIRD. SO HE WAS THE ONE YOU PROBABLY SAW. IF YOU WANT TO GET THE TOTAL EFFECT LISTEN TO HIS ALBUM FOURTH ESTATE. JOSEPH LEE WOOD
I agree. I'd love to put one in a guitar, but the cost is just too much for regular players. I got a chance to meet Sonny back in 2005 and he's truly an amazing musician, but I think he is even more humble than he is amazing (if that's possible). I've talked with him several times and we have that common love which is slide playing. I use some of his techniques, but not nearly as well. There is only going to be one Zen Master when it comes to playing slide in this way, and it's Sonny Landreth.
That's not the hip shot bridge. The hip shot bridge has levers that you can pre-set to notes using set screws. This one is a totally different system that uses small motors to change the position of the bridge to change the tuning of each string and is made by AxCent tuning systems.
Hi, I'm Dave Beagle and I have my hair done by the same guy who did Rick James, bitch! ;-)
Wonderful, wonderful music, performance & instrument ... Thanks very much for posting.
This has only now appeared, love Sonny, brilliant musician. Thanks for sharing.
